I'm Homeschooled and you may not be. So here is a question. And think about it hard. If you had the option to homeschool, would you? Don't say no because you wouldn't have any friends, I have plenty. Don't say no because your parents have full time jobs, I'm asking a big IF here. I actually love homeschooling. I get to learn what I want to learn and can do it at however fast or slow I want to. I have more free time so I can do more of what I want to do. And even though more than half my friends are much much older than me, I still have fun with them! One time my friend asked me why pretty much all my friends are older than me. What that meant to me equaled: If you went to school you would have more friends.... But I enjoy spending time with kids ten years older than me lol. When you become an adult you have to know how to interact with people ten years older than you! What do you think? Do you wanna be homschooled now?

I love this book a lot! It is so amazing and moving. The story is about a kid named August/Auggie, who is an ordinary kid with an extraordinary face. I like Auggie a lot. Because he was homeschooled! I'm homeschooled too! Because he was brave and didn't let anyone get in his way. And he went into fifth grade--like I am! The main story line of the book is that Auggie is going through difficult challenges and is exploring life. Making friends and dealing with the haters. He has a brave and kind heart. I think this book is a great for young kids to read. It will encourage them to take a stand when watching other kids get bullied. It shows kids that even though you are different, it doesn't mean that it's bad. It means you are unique and you should be proud. Don't be afraid of your true self--be who you want to be! A character that I like Summer. A girl who has a kind heart to sit with Auggie at lunch ignoring the whole game of 'The Plague'. She stands up for him and spends time with him to let Auggie know she is trying to be a friend. This is probably my favorite book series/Trilogy of all time! I've read all three books three times and I'm still not tired of it. It continues to satisfy my mind (as in like, when I'm bored I'll read Hunger Games and be set for the rest of the week) endlessly. Now, I am going to say that most people think Hunger Games isn't completely appropriate for younger kids, but I don't agree. You read at your own pace. So if feel ready for Hunger Games, go ahead and read it! Though there are definitely nightmare worthy scenarios, I think it is still something anyone can read if they feel like they can. This book is about a sixteen-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and her fight for survival. Every year, as punishment for the thirteen districts who rebelled against the Capitol, the Capitol destroyed the last one (District Thirteen) and forced two kids (girl and boy) from each district from the age 12-18 to participate in a fight to the death game called the Hunger Games. Katniss Everdeen, an illegal hunter of District 12 hunts with her hunting partner Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) for food. They work together to keep their family alive and are natural survivors. Now, Katniss's younger sister Prim, it's her first time in the reaping (how they choose who goes in). She has a tiny-insy-bitsy chance of becoming a tribute to the games. When Prim is chosen, Katniss bravely volunteers to take hers sisters spot. To protect her. The two tributes chosen: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. Katniss is a born surviver, and she knows that she has a chance of winning (ish). But how 'bout Peeta? As they take together the strategy of lovers, they earn the nickname The Star-Crossed Lovers (Of District 12!!!!) But we all know, only one can survive. Who will win? And what will happen then? That, everyone, is the reason why you have got to read all three books. The first one ends without a cliffhanger, but you still wonder, what happens next? Read The Hunger Games, and when you finish? Read Catching Fire, the second book!

This is an amazing book! You should definitely read all of them. Two have won the games. To the Capitol, it was an act of love. To the districts, it was an act of rebellion. To Katniss, it was confusing--was it love? rebellion? To Peeta it was the luck of love. As the Star-Crossed Lovers from District 12 go on their Victory Tour, it ends up being a disaster. As they return home, Gale and Katniss break their relationship with occasional mentions of Peeta. As they return home, a new Peacekeeper has come and changes 12 forever. And all Katniss can think about is the coming of the Hunger Games. How it will be a Quarter Quell (the recipe for horror). And how she and Peeta will be Mentors. And the relationship between them compared to Gale. And confusion. That would be a word to explain it all. But as they continue on in life, they find out all Peeta and Katniss have been doing was adding to the flame of rebellion But as they here what the 75th Hunger Games will be like, they find out that for this Quarter Quell, "as a reminder to the victors that even the strongest can not overcome the capitol, this year we will be pulling our Tributes from the existing pool of Victors." KATNISS IS GOING BACK INTO THE ARENA! (also we all know who's going to be the boy tribute...) It seems so perfect! For all the rebellion that is going on! A lot of things happen. Deaths of those we (as in the readers) love! Choosing Allies for the games! (The strategy for this game is to be like Career tributes.) An act of rebellion happens multiple times throughout the events before the Games, and it's clearly getting out of control. As they fight again for survival, Katniss's plan this time is to keep Peeta alive. But for this game... will anyone even survive? We all know the Capitol (President Snow especially!) want revenge. So maybe this game wasn't even supposed to have a champion of champions! Or maybe something else will happen... who knows? You read Catching Fire right now. Because along with the name, the rebellion is catching fire and adding to the flame!
