In the third book of the Inheritance series, Eragon and Roran are on a quest to find Roran's beloved, Katrina, who had been taken hostage by the Ra'zac. At Helgrind, Eragon finds Sloan, the butcher of Carvahall who was also Katrina's father, in a cell with terrible injuries. Meanwhile, Nasuada competes against Fadawar in the Trial of the Long Knives for the leadership of the Varden, and wins. Later on, Eragon and Saphira leave for the Farthen Dur to attend the election of the new dwarf king, where the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin clan attemped to assainate Eragon. Eragon's dwarf friend Orik ends up being elected as king, and at the coronation, Saphira repairs the Isidar Mithrim. After the coronation, they head to Ellesmera to complete their training with Oromis and Glaedr, where Eragon finds out that his father was not Morzan, but Brom, making Murtagh his half-brother. Eragon, after begging the elven blacksmith Rhunon, recieves his special Rider's sword, which he names 'Brisingr', that bursts into flames whenever he says 'fire' in the ancient language. I really enjoyed this book and I reccomend it for anyone who has read Eragon and Eldest!

The final book of the Inheritance series starts off with Eragon, Arya, Saphira, Blodhgarm, and some of the troops head off to Dras-Leona. When they arrived, Murtagh and Thorn were already waiting for them at the gates. Murtagh tells them that he doesn't want to fight them, but he was forced to swear his allegiance to Galbatorix. A few days later, a scholar named Joed, convinced that there were a system on tunnels underneath the city, tells Nasuada and Eragon. Nasuada sends Eragon, Arya, the herbalist Angela, and few others to locate and infiltrate the city. Inside the tunnels, the group was attacked and pursued by men serving the priests of Helgrind, who capture Eragon and Arya. The priests, who were angered that Eragon killed some of their gods, the Ra'zac, left them bound in a room with two Ra'zac eggs that were about to hatch. Eragon and Arya both manage to escape and with Saphira they fought Murtagh and Thorn. Murtagh leaves, but in the middle of the night, he attacks the Varden's camp and captures Nasuada. Eragon, Saphira, and Glaedr then secretly leave to find the Rock of Kuthian, in hopes it holds the key to defeating Galbatorix. After finding the Rock, they return to the Varden, where they left for Uru'baen to fight Galbatorix. I enjoyed this book the most out of the whole series because of the plot and the adventure! I also recommend this book to those who want to find out how the series ends!

Eragon starts off as the nephew of Garrow and lived on a farm in the small village of Carvahall. That is, until Eragon finds a mysterious blue stone in the middle of the Spine. Then, the Ra'zac strike Carvahall in search of the blue stone, and kills Eragon's uncle. Now Eragon, Brom, the storyteller of Carvahall, and Eragon's newly hatched dragon, Saphira, are on the run from the tyrannical King of Algalaesia, King Galbatorix. I really enjoyed because I love the genre fantasy and I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy or dragons!

This time in the second book of the Inheritance series, Eragon has just defeated the shade Durza, Nasuada becomes the new leader of the Varden, and Eragon and Saphira leaves the Farthen Dur in search of the realm of the elves, the forest of Du Weldenvarden, where he will train with The Cripple Who Is Whole. Meanwhile, Eragon's cousin, Roran, convinces most of the villagers of Carvahall to leave the ravaged village in search of protection by joining the Varden. Eragon then becomes powerful Rider and during a ritual celebrating the ancient Riders, a mysterious dragon alters his form so that he takes the appearance and strength of an elf. Later on, Eragon battles his former friend Murtagh, who reveals that they were brothers and that Eragon's once mysterious father was the treacherous leader of the Forsworn, Morzan. Again, I really enjoyed this book because of the all the fantastical elements of the story. I really recommend this book for anyone who has read Eragon! (If you want to read this book, but haven't read Eragon, READ ERAGON FIRST!!!!)
