This book is an adventure for kids or teens or really any age. It has you on your toes, you never know whats going to happen. Its a mystery and has a great opening for the next book. It really shows how much family can be really important.

Five minutes before she died, Grace Cahill changed her will. The alternate one was one which might cause the end of her family, or even humanity itself. While attending their grandmother’s funeral. Amy and Dan Cahill discover that their family is the most influential in the history of the world. They are also given a choice. It is one million dollars, or a clue. The clue will mean life or death, and if they survive, they will become the most powerful cahills in history. Afraid their Aunt will steal their two million dollars, Amy and Dan instead choose the clue. They start a long journey, and in this book cover two countries, America and France. However, their journey still doesn’t end at the end of the book, as 39 clues are a lot. I recommend this adventure book for boys, grades third to sixth.

The main characters are nelly Cahill, Amy Cahill, and Dan Cahill. At the beginning of the story, Amy and dan’s aunt dies her name is grace Cahill and she was a wealthy person so she hosted this contest with all the Cahill family and the family has over 290 people in their family but a few days before the contest begins grace dies of old through security so they needed a person to go with them. Later in the story, the three Cahills Amy, dan, and nelly are in Italy and they are trying to find the second clue but three teams are caught up with them so they need to be sneaky. I recommend this book if you like mystery stuff and adventures I did this book because I love adventure books and age and dan and Amy get her inheritance so they get her nice mansion and all the money but the contest is about to begin and the contest is all around the world but they don't have a person to go with them to the action and this book have a ton of action.

A race. Life and death. Power hungry relatives. Amy and Dan lost their parents and only hand their grandmother , Grace. She was everything to them. Then she was gone. They are given a chance, walk away with one million dollars or the 39 clues. They choose the clues and are led onto a journey that could reward them…or kill them.

Amy and Dan Cahill's life changed the day of their grandmother's funeral. Amy and Dan- with all the other Cahill relatives had a choice- 1 million dollars or the first clue. Most chose the money, but some stayed for the clue, including Amy and Dan. Now, the siblings had to find the 39 clues before the rest of their relatives, and stay alive doing it. Near death experiences, clues, mysteries, and an au pair are just some of the things Amy and Dan face. But one thing is for sure- they must stay alive to get the clues. Adventure and mystery makes you keep on reading, and want more once you're finished. Make sure to check out the second book in the Cahill's adventure- One False Note! Happy reading!

This book is awesome! It is a little intense and may not be a good book to read if you are younger or sensitive. The characters, SPOILER, Dan and Amy Cahill are great. They are regular but extraordinary kids like us, and have to face choices that a adult can't handle. They have to choose the right or wrong thing, and they always find a way to get through puzzles and shocking truths.

Oh my gosh Awesome book! Love this book soo soo soo soo soo much! Best book ever ! Need to read the next book !

rick riordan starts off the bestselling '39 clues series' with the heart-pounding 'one false note'. It's a really interesting book, the only downside is it is a little confusing, for it is set in a lot of different places, but great book otherwise.

I like the way there is a conflict/problem that doesn’t stand out. It also tells some things that actually happened. But I don’t recommend this book if you don’t like too much violence. You might want to skip those parts. There is only a few violence. But still enjoy!

Two siblings, Amy and Dan, at the death of their beloved Grandmother, find themselves faced with a choice. Continue their normal life with and inheritance of one million dollars, or race against time to find the thirty-nine clues and the reward at the end. Will Amy and Dan be able to get the first of the clues? Or will they give up in despair? This book had so many twists and turns that I couldn't put it down, and the puzzles and clues were interesting and eduational.
