Diary of a Wimpy Kid has not and will never change. Which means it will always be one of the best kid's books for generations. As always, Jeff Kinney gives us something to laugh about on page 1: the possibility of Greg actually being on a reality TV show and the people he lives with being robots and actors. Greg ponders his past experiences with a special club that teaches kids how to properly pronounce the letter "R", a creepy toy witch that scares everyone with its long cackles, and two encounters with an extremely sheltered boy. We go through Greg's hilarious experiences during October and November, and just keep turning the page in between laughs. Not only does Double Down give us as something to read and laugh at, we also recieve some references to the first book, for the fans of the original Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

This Kingdom Keepers book starts out with a bit of a bang: the legendary Keepers find themselves during the start of Disneyland. Once they realize they've been transferred 60 years into the past, they find a younger Wayne and an even younger group of Overtakers. They task themselves with trying to prevent the Overtakers from destroying Disneyland in the past and retrieving Walt Disney's magical fountain pen. Meanwhile, Disney Imagineers are trying to figure out how to bring them back and the Keeper's Fairlie friends try to find out the dangers that threaten the Keepers by looking through old records. As he intertwines the stories, he creates a masterpiece for Disney lovers.

Literally one of the best kids books ever. Auggie has facial deformities, meaning his face is different from other kids. He's starting 5th grade, and his parents have decided for him to go to a private school instead of being homeschooled. He is introduced to Beecher Prep, a couple of days before school starts, to get acquainted with his new surroundings. During his time at Beecher Prep, he gets enemies and he makes friends. He gets bullied because of his looks, by both students and their parents. As the school year gets tougher, he gets stronger. Through the difficulties of 5th grade, Auggie somehow makes it to the end of the school year as a star. This book is a great book, and it shifts the point of view to various characters, so you get a large glimpse at the whole story.

I received the chapstick and book, but not the movie-even though my page says I earned it. What happened?

I was very intrigued by the summary about this book. September is taken on an adventure to Fairyland where she makes new friends and is apparently the only person who can assist the new Marquess. Unfortunately, I found it hard to follow along. The language and description was kind of hard to read. Because I couldn't even understand what was going on, I didn't finish the book. I rate this book 1 out of 5 stars.

The Thing About Jellyfish and Wonder are my favorite books.

Holes is a kind of odd book, but reading it isn't so bad. Stanley Yelnats's dad is an inventor who's failing to make a good invention, his family lives in a tiny apartment, and Stanley is convicted of stealing the shoes of a famous MLB player's shoes which were being auctioned for charity. He is dragged to Camp Green Lake, where he and other "troubled" boys are forced do dig holes to "build character". Also, his great-great grandfather stole a pig and got his entire lineage cursed, including Stanley. He learns, along with his group of friends, that the mean warden is looking for something somewhere in the area. She and her assistants have been using the boys as a cover and as their servants. Stanley and Zero, his uneducated and overlooked friend, journey to find the treasure, and Stanley goes to try to prove his innocence. This story is kind of boring, but there is some action that keeps you entertained.
