Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire have moved in with a new guardian, Dr. Montgomery who is a herpetologist. The three siblings thought that they could be happy there, away from the horrible schemes of the treacherous villain, Count Olaf. But when Count Olaf shows up disguised as Dr. Montgomery's new assistant, the Baudelaire children know he has another plan to steal their fortune. Will Violet, Klaus, and Sunny be able to stop Count Olaf's plan, even if no one believes them? This book was very interesting to read, and I enjoyed the way the characters develop.Almost 4 years agonac added a book review.
Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, are intelligent children, but their story is full of misfortune, and this book is the beginning of their tragic story. It all starts when their parents perish in a terrible fire, leaving them an enormous fortune that the kids will inherit once Violet comes of age. And now they must move in with their new guardian, Count Olaf. Unfortunately Count Olaf is intent on stealing the Baudelaire's fortune, and he has proved that he will stop at nothing to get his hands on it. As his grand scheme unfolds, the Baudelaires are backed into a corner, and it seems as if they have no chance in getting out of Count Olaf's clutches. The Baudelaires will have to use their skills like never before in order to triumph. This book was surprisingly good, and something interesting is that the narrator, Lemony Snicket, is always telling you to not read this book because it is so sad, and that just makes you want to read it even more. I really enjoyed this book and I looked forward to reading the next books in the series.Almost 4 years agonac added a book review.
Three orphan boys are selected to secretly be trained to be an imposter for the prince of a kingdom that is falling apart. One of those boys, Sage, is focused on survival, not training- until he realizes that if he does not become the false prince- he dies. This book was full of action and adventure, and it kept me turning the pages as secrets and alliances were revealed. Five stars for this book!Almost 4 years agosophie16 added a new comment in
It was really sad. George Floyd was killed and I think that it is good people are fighting for themselves because many people around the world are just like those policemen and they think that you shouldn't arrest someone without proof and you shouldn't put their knee's on them either. Everyone knows that an innocent, kind, cheery man named George Floyd was killed on May 25 and they know that this will happen again any time soon and they want to stop that. The protests aren't just words, they are meaning, lives, to those who listen to it. You might think they are looting and stuff, but those are voices, not bad things, because every voice counts, including yours.Almost 4 years agonac added a book review.
This hilarious book is about a boy named Peter, who pretty much spends all of his time trying to deal with his little brother, Fudge, though his real name is Farley Drexel Hatcher. Peter has to learn how to deal with the annoying and frustrating things his little brother does, such as pretending to be a bird or a dog, refusing to listen and forcing Peter to bribe him, and even swallowing the Peter's turtle. Sometimes, Peter wishes he didn't even have a little brother, but Fudge is part of the family, so Peter will just have to learn how to deal with Fudge. This book was really funny, and entertaining.Almost 4 years agosophie16 replied to a comment in
Not really... They want everyone to be treated the same way because those cops were arrested, yes, but there could be more people like them and they want laws against that so they are allowed to do that and no, they are not looting, so what made you think that? People are just fighting for what's right, so does that do any harm?Almost 4 years ago
