After the events of book one Sophie and Agatha are back home, but, unfortunately, life isn't exactly happily ever after. When Sophie and Agatha find themselves thrown back into the world of fairy tales, the world has flipped since they left. Instead of the School for Good and the School for Evil now there are the Schools Girls and the School for Boys. Suddenly life is a lot different, as all over the world girls are realizing they don't need their prince charmings and are booting them from their stories. And the entire tense situation is about to explode. Will Agatha be reunited with her true love, Tedros? Will Sophie be able to suppress her villainous ways? Will the fairy-tales return to their origins, or will life be forever topsy turvy? I loved this book! The character development was amazing, just as great as it was in the first book! I am really excited to read the third book in the series! I recommend this book to those who enjoy fairytales and fantasy books. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Ghosts is a cute graphic novel about a girl named Cat who is moving with her family because her little sister, Maya, is sick with Cystic Fibrosis. When they arrive they meet a strange boy named Carlos, and soon learn that their new town has secrets. And those secrets are ghosts. As Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) approaches Cat must learn to accept things she once thought impossible as she navigates the struggles of being the new girl. I liked reading this story, it was very imaginative and held my interest as Cat learned more and more about Dia de los Muertos and the ghosts. I recommend this book to elementary and middle school-aged kids who enjoy reading graphic novels. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Princess Academy is one of my favorite books. It is the story of mountain girl Miri, who along with the other girls in her village, is forced to attend the Princess Academy so they can be groomed for the Prince who is going to pick his bride from among them. The book shows the struggles Miri and the other girls go through under their strict teacher at the school, and the struggles Miri faces with her family. I especially enjoyed learning more about quarry-speak, the way the village people can communicate through the stone of the mountain. Definitely a classic, I recommend it to people who books like Ella Enchanted and Tuesdays at the castle. I believe people of all ages would enjoy this book, but especially middle school-aged kids. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
