Billy Sure Kid Entrepreneur

Billy Sure Kid Entrepreneur

By Luke Sharpe

This book is a great book! My favorite part was when Manny (Billy the main characters best friend) told Billy that he was actually the one that made the blue prints. What I mean by this is that in the book, one of Billy’s inventions was the All Ball that can almost transform into any type of sports ball. When one night Billy fell asleep, the next morning there was a set of blue prints of the All Ball. Of course Billy did not know who made the blue prints. When Billy and Manny were making another invention, they put an alarm so the person that made the blue print can trip over a wire and then the alarm will shout. When Billy went to bed, in the middle of the night the alarm shouted. There was a set of blue prints of the Sibling Silencer on the desk. When Billy looked in the room there was nobody but Philo and himself. Philo was in the middle of the room awake. The next morning Manny told Billy that he did it himself. Manny had set a camera (Manny was also there) while Billy was concentrating on putting the alarm in.

Abby Carnelia's One and Only Magical Power

Abby Carnelia's One and Only Magical Power

By David Pogue, Antonio Javier Caparo

Abby Carnelia's One and Only Magical Power starts when Abby is making a salad. Through a coincidence, she happens to pull on her earlobe while standing in front of a hard-boiled egg. To her surprise the egg starts to spin upright. She keeps her power a secret, but soon decides to attend magic camp to find an explanation. She finds other kids have similar useless powers and is invited to attend supercamp where she soon discovers not all are what they seem-in fact she and her newly found friends may be in terrible danger. I loved this book. I loved how I got to see the process of Abby realizing she has a bizarre magical power, the emotional process and confusion she goes through, the experimentation she does to try and see if she has other powers and the friendship that blooms with the other kids who are like her. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
