Raymie Nightingale

Raymie Nightingale

By Kate DiCamillo

This book I read a couple months ago. I read that book another couple months ago. I read it again and again because it was so truly magical. I got the same amount of charm every time. It was full of several emotions. You wanted to cry at times. You got an excitement that could make you scared. You could relate to all characters and fall into the book. It was a truly heartwarming read (most likely reads) and I hope you will learn to love it as much as I do. This is my favorite book and I am quite a reader. Thank you Kate DiCamillo for this life changing book that makes you look at this things a different way, and sculpts a life inside of pages of paper. Just thank you Kate, just thank you.

Dawn and the Older Boy (Baby-Sitters Club, No. 37)

Dawn and the Older Boy (Baby-Sitters Club, No. 37)

By Ann Martin, Ann M. Martin

I just read this, and I thought it was great. Dawn Schafer just meant the boy of her dreams. His name is Travis. He and Dawn have a lot in common, they both love health food, the beach, and he is from California like her! Dawn can't believe her luck! But one thing about Travis is, he is sixteen and Dawn is thirteen. Mary Anne, and the other girls in the BSC think that Travis is way too old for her and bosses Dawn around, but Dawn is in love. But when Dawn realizes for herself that Travis is too old for her, she learns the importance of taking advice from family and friends. I liked this book because it was realistic and interesting. Ann M. Martin has a way of weaving in a good, girl lessons while also adding light hearting touches like babysitting and friendship. I suggest it for anyone who likes friendship, babysitting, and "love at first sight."

By Maryrose Wood

9 year old: Read this book, it's the best book ever! People who like adventures should read this series. 11 year old: I think this is a great series. 6 year old: Nobody knew who I was when I dressed up as Cassawoo at school. Mom: We loved this series as a family, we laughed and got so excited at the wins and sad for the losses, but all in all the positive aspects completely outweighed the sad things.

The School for Good and Evil #2: A World without Princes

By Soman Chainani

After the events of book one Sophie and Agatha are back home, but, unfortunately, life isn't exactly happily ever after. When Sophie and Agatha find themselves thrown back into the world of fairy tales, the world has flipped since they left. Instead of the School for Good and the School for Evil now there are the Schools Girls and the School for Boys. Suddenly life is a lot different, as all over the world girls are realizing they don't need their prince charmings and are booting them from their stories. And the entire tense situation is about to explode. Will Agatha be reunited with her true love, Tedros? Will Sophie be able to suppress her villainous ways? Will the fairy-tales return to their origins, or will life be forever topsy turvy? I loved this book! The character development was amazing, just as great as it was in the first book! I am really excited to read the third book in the series! I recommend this book to those who enjoy fairytales and fantasy books. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

One for Sorrow: A Ghost Story

One for Sorrow: A Ghost Story

By Mary Downing Hahn

One for Sorrow definitely sent chills down my spine. It is about a girl named Annie who moved to a new town where on her first day of school she meets Elsie. After a couple of days with Elsie, Annie didn't like hr at all. She was mean and disrespectful. Annie became friends with a group of girls that she liked much better. The only thing was that they would constantly pick on Elsie. Elsie ended up with the deadly Spanish Influenza. Annie and her friends went sledding in the graveyard and Annie hit her head really hard on a gravestone. At that point Annie had risen Elsie from the dead. Elsie made sure to ruin Annie's life. Annie had to find a way to get rid of her. In the end it was okay. If you like ghost stories and freaky things, this would be a great book for you!

By Max Bisantz, Kate Bisantz, Who HQ

This story about Selena was told in this book. I learned so much about Selena to her life and to her death. It's an emotional and a happy book at the same time about Selena and how young she was to how old she got. Taught me a lot!

I Even Funnier: A Middle School Story (I Funny)

He lives in a town called Long Beach, New York. His parents and sister passed away in his old home back in Cornwall, New York. I recommend this book to people who enjoy jokes and loads description

That's Not What Happened

That's Not What Happened

By Kody Keplinger

This book was an interesting look at the importance of religion and community after a tragedy. It is a great book about the current issues with school shootings and it also includes LGBTQ+ characters and a muted romantic story line.
