The Death Cure is the final book in the maze runner series and it is a must read! The book continues the story where Thomas feels even more betrayed and hurt by everyone, causing all the Gladers and the rest of the group to rebel and leave WCKD. As Thomas, Jorge, Brenda, and Minho try to search for the Right Arm, the rest of the world is crumbling and everyone they know are beginning to fall apart and die. One of my favorite scenes in this book is when Newt begs Thomas for his death because he didn't want to be an insane crank. Although Thomas refuses to kill him at first, he eventually ends Newt's life and make amends. I love this scene because there are tons of emotions of how he loses his friend, the guilt, and how miserable and confused Thomas is. I really like Teresa because she's brave, mysterious, and has always cared for Thomas since she first met him. Before the Immunes escape, she saved Thomas life and died in his place, stating that she is sorry and she only cared for him. Overall, I think this book is just amazing and is full of adventures, emotions, and lessons about friendship.

The Mystery of the Mixed-Up Zoo, by Gertrude Chandler Warner, says that mystifying problems can have simple answers. Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden are at Rosedale, in Edward Marlow’s house. Marlow also has a zoo. Strange things are happening there. The signs are mixed up, turning off the power, and hurting the animals. They had several suspects, but there was no proof. Benny especially loved a monkey named Amos. There was no proof he was still there. However, the Aldens saw Mac Tatcher, the person who worked at Rosedale’s bookstore, steal Amos. They followed him back home. He angrily admitted why he had stolen Amos and when he was going away, his zoo keys fell out. That was the proof that he did those horrible things. There was really an easy-to- understand explanation to both of those mysteries! I recommend this mystery for boys and girls, grades third to fourth.

A spooky thriller, Peeled is a great book to read on an October weekend, leading up to Halloween! Hildy Biddle's looking for a story to write in her high school newspaper. She's stumped until a haunted house in the neighborhood starts to create some racket. She does all she can to write an amazing story, which then leads into some clashing with other newspapers in the town, which then leads to blackmail. But finally, the high school newspaper finds their way, with a surprise twist at the end! Joan did a great job with this book. One of my favorite parts was that she took Banesville, NY, the place that the story is in, and though it is fictional, she really makes it seem real, by adding in details like that it was in apple country, which is widespread throughout NY. She really gives attention to each individual character, and lets each of them grow. Overall, a quick read but a good read!

This book was amazing and the most inspiring part is when Anna spots some abuse with a child, and then later gets to meet that child for what she had done to save the girl. Joan Bauer used her writing skills, in to Tell Me.

I rate this book as fair since even though the protagonist, Evan Treski, is given his stolen $208 back, the mystery is too easy for me to have to think deeply for. The author made the criminal too blatant and nobody else can be blamed. Jacqueline Davies made the criminal, Scott Spencer, take too long to be found guilty of stealing Evan’s money since everybody knows Scott stole it, but nobody has proof that will convince the judge of Evan’s class’s court system. I appreciate that the author made one of Evan’s trusted classmates, Megan Moriarty, betray him. Megan reveals how Scott should be innocent, which surprises Evan and his younger sister, Jessie, since Megan is Jessie’s best friend. Also, Jessie and Evan are in the same class, so they don’t fight with Megan. It surprised me that Megan helps Scott instead of Evan, only since Scott lets Megan try his new Xbox 20/20, which Evan and Jessie think Scott spends the stolen $208 on. Scott let everybody in the class try it, which could have made everybody want to defend Scott, otherwise, they will not be able to play with it anymore. I also appreciate that the author made a jury of Evan’s class and keep it a secret. I think this is a childish way to end the book since Evan and Scott act as friends again when Evan blames himself and Scott on breaking Scott’s dad’s TV, when only Scott broke it. To repay him, Scott gives Evan the stolen $208 back, and Evan, Jessie, and Scott signed a pact, which has them swear that they will never tell any adult about what actually happened to Evan’s money. I don’t appreciate that in the resolution, everything is solved then since it isn’t interesting. The author has Evan defend Scott, and Scott apologizes for stealing Evan’s money by returning it. When Evan asks Scott why he stole it in the first place, Scott doesn't have an answer and he doesn't even use it. Scott doesn't buy the Xbox 20/20 with the stolen money, but his parents did.

This book was amazing. The best mystery book I have ever read. Addy and her family are given the opportunity for a better life. After Addy's father was offered a job by a rich man, Addy and her family get to move to a nice side of neighborhood, in the rich man's home next to the home he lives in. Addy and her family's future is looking bright for once. After escaping from slavery, her family has gone through a lot. Now, they will be able to settle into a nice home with a nice home. But then Addy is accused of stealing by the rich man's soon to be wife, Miss Elizabeth. To top it off, Addy finds a spy living in the underground floor of the rich man's home. How will Addy be able to clear her name? Or is Miss Elizabeth hiding something? Based in the mid 1800s, this story takes you on a historic and mysterious adventure. It also gives you the perspective of a newly freed slave. This book also shows the hardship that newly freed slaves had to go through, even after being freed. I really, and strongly recommend this book. It was heartwarming and it also made me grateful for all the opportunities and privileges, I take for granted. I suggest this if you like history, mysteries, and family. Happy reading!

Up until a few months ago, she didn't even know her mother. Ever since she was little, Serafina has been raised in Biltmore, a giant estate near the mountains of North Carolina. Over time, she has almost become like its guardian. But this time, she'll have to fight hard to defeat her enemy. One night, she encounters a strange man with magical powers. He seems to be able to control animals. Even more terrifying, he has sent his spy so that he can invade Biltmore! But who is it? How can she defeat the man? I liked this book because it had a lot of details about life in 1899.

***Spoiler Alert*** The book that I am doing a review on is called Spy School: British Invasion by Stuart Gibbs. This book is about a group of outlaws and they are trying to prove their names while also trying to get the evil organization, SPYDER arrested. They were framed for wrecking museums and different buildings. I learned from this book that people can change their minds when confronted with the reality of the situation. I liked the book and connected to it because it is a very suspenseful and cool story. For example their were a lot of double agents that suddenly switched sides. The setting was very cool because it had a lot of sightseeing places in it. In the setting there were a lot of historical landmarks that had different purposes than what people thought. They were made as lookout towers that don’t actually look like lookout towers. I think that Stuart Gibbs put these parts in the setting so it would show that things aren’t actually always what you think they are. For example the Eiffel Tower is actually a big antenna that transmits secret messages. For another example Tower Bridge is actually a spy hideout. Also in the catacombs there were secret entrances into houses. In one of the houses there is a woman who is called Mr. E that is the leader of the SPYDER organization. I think that Stuart Gibbs included this scene in the book to show that a woman is just as good as a man and sometimes even better. For an example, in the book “Mr. E” says that boys do not expect girls to be the leader of organizations so that way she can stay under the radar and she was able to sneak into the meetings dressed as a maid. This is an amazing book and I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I wanted to read this book because I love mysteries and she looks like me and that is the big part #BLM

This book was so weird like getting sucked into a.video game? So ridiculous it is a terrible book it deserves 1 star yes it was that bad
