Mary Anne and 2 Many Babies (Baby-Sitters Club, No. 52)
By Ann M. Martin
Babies, babies, babies, and yes, more babies. That’s what Mary Anne’s life consists of! A special program at school has Logan and her caring for a little baby (which is actually an egg.) At first, it’s fun, but after a while, the responsibilities of having a “baby” begins to dawn on Mary Anne. The egg, er baby, has to be fed, walked, and put down for naps! Plus Logan and Mary Anne are fighting over who has custody of the baby on different days! This egg is a disaster! I really liked this book. It was funny, relatable, and fun to read. Happy reading! <3
Mallory and the Dream Horse (The Baby-Sitters Club #54)
By Ann M. Martin
Mallory can’t stop thinking about horses! She loves reading about them, so when she is given the chance to get riding classes, she’s excited! But riding a horse is very different from reading about horses. After a scary accident happens with one of the horses Mallory is riding, she is a little scared to ride ever again. This book is all about getting back up again after you fall. If you never try, you’ll never learn. This book was inspiring. At least, it inspired me. I hope it does for you too! 🐎😊
Kristy for President (Baby-Sitters Club)
By Ann M. Martin
Kristy has always known how to take control of situations. So when she learns that she could run for class president, she is all for it. But campaigning plus keeping up her grades, and the Kristy's Krushers, and the BSC, and home life, it’s a lot! Can Kristy do it? Or was this idea not so bright? This book is all about slowing down and focusing on the things that matter. Kristy learns the importance of taking things one step at a time, a lesson all of us have learned or will learn. I really suggest this book. It was really good!
Jessi's Gold Medal (Baby-Sitters Club, 55)
By Ann M. Martin
Ready, set, synchronize! Jessi is invited to join a synchronized swimming team. She is really excited and honored! But it turns out that swimming is not as easy as it seems. Soon Jessi and swimming partner Elise are working in overdrive and are worn out. Will they ever be able to win gold? This book was motivating. Jessi has great sticktoitiveness and that is admirable. A great book to read before a major competition! 🏊🏿♀️🌊

Pie
By Sarah Weeks
Pie: When Alice's, Aunt Polly (Pie Queen of Ipswitch) passes away, she leaves her world famous pie crust recipe to her beloved cat, Lardo. Not only that but also leaves him to take care of Alice. Your probably wondering: "Who in the right mind would leave a pie crust recipe to a CAT?" no one. Except, Aunt Polly. One day Alice comes home from, with Lardo in her arms and carries him upstairs to her room. Where she makes him a litter box or a shoe box, to do his business in. She then fed him 3 tunafish and went to bed... She was then awoken by the sound of rattling almost as if Lardo had knocked something over... She got up and checked around her. She saw NO Lardo. So she wondered: "maybe I am just having a dream." So she went back to sleep... The next morning she arose from her bed to look for Lardo... She looked everywhere until she reached the window sill.. Cat paw-prints vaguely marked on the ledge of the window... It was too late now.. Lardo had been taken or left... Will they find him or not? You decide by reading the book!
Kitty and the Moonlight Rescue
By Paula Harrison
My favorite character in the book is the orange cat Precious because she has hypnotizing powers, and hides treasure in her safe.
Doble Fudge / Double Fudge (Spanish Edition)
By Judy Blume
Double Fudge, by Judy Blume, is about tolerance. When Fudge Hatcher was five, he asked his older brother Peter Hatcher how much New York cost. After Peter answered the question, Fudge was obsessed with money. He even planned to buy the entire world, or at least Toys “R” Us. The family had to tolerate that. It was already enough trouble, but then Fudge’s pet Myna bird stopped talking. He tolerated it, but refused to tell the other family members about this, until Peter caught Fudge imitating it. Soon, their long-lost relatives, the Howie Hatchers, came to their building. It was really annoying, and then their other little brother, Mini, swallowed one of Fudges’ lost teeth! I recommend this book for boys and girls, grades third to sixth.
