Ever since Dawn's parents got divorced, Dawn has never felt like she has belonged anywhere. Yes, she had amazing friends in Stoneybrook and of course, the BSC. But she also misses the warm beaches of California, and most of all, she misses her dad and brother. So, when Dawn proposes that she wants to go back to California for 6 months, she begins to have second thoughts. Dawn feels torn; how could she leave her friends in Stoneybrook but also see her father and brother all the way in California? This book was very funny, enjoyable to read, and a little sad. From the first chapter, the reader can identify Dawn's longing for California. The book was very well written. If the author had not done a great job, the reader may have thought Dawn didn't like her friends or her mom. But Ann M. Martin paints Dawn as normal girl who only wants to be with her family. The end of the book was bittersweet. I walked away from the book feeling sad, surprised, and expectant for the next book. The reader will definitely be surprised by the ending. I suggest if you like reading about family drama, friendship, and babysitting. Happy reading!

Feeling as if she is too "self-centered" and "self-involved", Mary Anne sets out to be as selfless and helpful as she can be. An opportunity comes when her elderly neighbor, Mrs. Towne, falls and breaks her ankle. In exchange for sewing lessons, Mary Anne helps keep Mrs. Towne's house clean while Mrs. Towne recovers. But after a while, Mary Anne realizes that she doesn't have time or energy to do anything she wants to do, like hang out the BSC girls or Logan. Mary Anne feels as though she is always spending her time at Mrs. Towne's house, cleaning. Could it be that Mary Anne is being taken advantage of? This book reminded me of my grandmother. Her and I love to sew, so this book was close to home for me. I thought this book was so sweet and a little sad. It made me thankful for family and caring people. I also think after reading this book, everyone can appreciate Mary Anne's attitude. She is kind, selfless, patient, and compassionate. I thought this book was wonderful and would suggest if you like babysitting, taking care of others, and friendship. Happy reading!

This is a great dystopian series that I found at my library. I like all the action and suspense and the romantic bits aren't my favorite, but make it more interesting. Excited for her new book, Metaltown!

The Prince and the Pauper, by Mark Twain, teaches you to be happy with what you have. On one August day in the 1500s, two people were born. One was the prince of wales (Edward Tudor), and the other was Tom Canty, a London beggar. Their only similarities were that they looked the same and had the same voice. Years later, chance made them meet up. Edward wanted to have the free life of a pauper, and Tom wanted to see what it was like to be a prince. When they met together again, they swapped, and both learned to look forward to their own things. Edward did not live for long, but he lived fairly. Tom grew to be a wise old man. I recommend this classic for boys and girls, grades third to fifth.

This book was super good! Mary Anne has changed a lot since 7th grade, so when she sees a hairstyle in a magazine, she is excited to try it. But the other BSC girls like the way Mary Anne is now. But Mary Anne really likes the hairstyle, so she goes ahead and gets it. Everyone at Mary Anne's school loves the new hairstyle, all except the Babysitter's Club girls. Mary Anne is offended; how could her best friends not want the best for her? I thought this book was dramatic, fun to read, and inspiring. Mary Anne is a very relatable character. The reader can admire from Mary Anne's confidence but also learn a good lesson about talking through things with the people you care about and asking for advice. This story is all about growing up, friendship, babysitting, and trying new things. I suggest if you like friendship and babysitting.

I remember that when I first read Wonder, I had WONDERED what the story would be like from Julian's perspective. I gave this book two stars because it was almost exactly the same as Wonder. I was curious to know what Julian had to say, but I feel like R.J. Polacio only wrote it because readers wanted to hear from Julian's point of view. I think the story would have been better if it was in Wonder, and not in a seperate book. Please know that I'm not saying Wonder was a bad book. I read Wonder at least five times, I loved it so much. But I don't think that it was necessary for R.J. Polacio to write this one. 365 Days of Wonder was a good book because it had a lot of prefects, and it went with the story, but not too much like in the Julian chapter. Anyhow, this is what the Julian Chapter is about. The Julian Chapter is basically Wonder from Julian's perspective. If you don't remember from Wonder, is the bully who gets punched by Jack Will. In the book, I feel like R.J. Polacio skipped some moments that were written in Wonder which I would have loved to read about from Julian's chapter. And although she tells why Julian wouldn't come back to Beecher Prep, I feel like instead at the end she should have made Julian decide to go back to Beecher and try again the next year. And have a big reason to. I was very dissapointed with the book. After reading Wonder I thought The Julian Chapter would have been better than what I read. Sorry for the super LOOOOOOOONG review! Once slavery was over, it wasn't really over. African Americans were still treated horribly. That's what I think this book is trying to say. Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry is a great book that reflects what black people had to deal with. From getting pushed into the road, to getting Kerosene poured over their body's, they had to persevere through it all. I think the author is trying to help people understand how things really were back then. Even though this family is not real, people went through the very same things they did in the story. In school and at home we really don't learn enough black history. We don’t learn that how they were treated was so bad. We learn that they were treated badly but this book really goes into the lives of a family and really showed how hard it was for them.

I like pokemon and it is really fact full with lots of pokemon and tells you everything you need to know about them.
