The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Read-Aloud Edition (Narnia)

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Read-Aloud Edition (Narnia)

By C. S. Lewis

I loved this book it has so much adventure, love, and fitting in this. It is about four kids that live in this old misters house. And they want to play hide and seek then Lucy finds a perfect place one room, with only a wardrobe. Then she goes into it as deep as she can go and it starts to get colder and then she is in snow. And that is how all of it starts.

The Hundred Dresses

The Hundred Dresses

By Eleanor Estes

Warning! This review contains spoilers! There are two girls who are best friends, named Maddie and Peggy (or something). And everyday they tease this other girl named Wanda who seems to be very poor. Although she always wears the same dress, Wanda says she has a hundred dresses. Nobody believes her, so they make fun of her. Maddie doesn't like to tease Wanda (because she's poor too), but goes along with it anyway. But then something happens. What I thought of it: I can easily say that this is the stupidest book I have ever read. I mean no disrespect to the author, or anyone who liked it. I just really couldn't stand it. The writing was horrible. It was very sloppy, and unpleasant. The plot wasn't any good, and it barely made sense. The author didn't make it clear whether of not Wanda actually had a hundred dresses or not. I mean that's the only reason I even finished the book. All I wanted to know was whether or not Wanda had a hundred dresses, and I never even found out. I mean I read this book in 15 minutes and it was still a complete waste of time. Also, the author kind of just jumped from one time to another. One second it's sometime during October or a little after October, the next second it's Christmas time. The only transition was a single sentence that basically said "And then it was Christmas time". That really annoyed me. Also the characters were flat and uninteresting. There were many other flaws. Overall, it was a terrible book.

Little Critter: Snowball Soup (My First I Can Read)

By Mercer Mayer

I like this book because, when i go go to the hospital i think of this book and to not be scared. This book also lets you know that you can do things without any body helping you. And everyone was happy when he arrived at school.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby

By F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Great Gatsby is personally too deep for me to understand and dissolve all of it. This story was based on the Jazz Age, when the rich and fabulous were having marvelous parties after World War I. I like Jordan Baker the most in this story, because even though she is cynical, I think she was wise and knew a lot of things. Daisy was the person I don’t admire the most. Although she was beautiful and men were infatuated by her, but I feel like she was just a pretty shell without a deep soul. Her desires weren’t realistic and she was greedy. However, she reminded me and taught me to not become someone that resembles her. I saw there are a lot of things that weren’t reveal. I learnt that the world is make up of greed, lies, and insidiously and undoubtedly, reality. It’s hard to face the truth that people are actually selfish creatures that often think about themselves. People are fickle, like plants, we often choose the way that benefit us the most. It might sound disappointed and dark, but sadly and truly, it’s the truth.

My Friend Flicka

My Friend Flicka

A Light in the Attic

A Light in the Attic

By Shel Silverstein

This is another HILARIOUS Shel Silverstein book! I have read a couple others, but this is definitely original. Shel Silverstein could be Dr. Suess if he wrote shorter books-and just as famous too! All his books are really funny, and a lot of them include things that could never happen so they are good for kids. (I feel like adults like books about reality) I think this deserves a 5/5 without a second thought.

Pippi Longstocking

Pippi Longstocking

By Astrid Lindgren

I love Pippi she is the best character other then the monkey Mr. Nilsson. It is about a nine year old girl who has lost her mom when she was young and her father to the sea(she thinks that he is the king of the cannibals.) She also has a neighbor with two kids called Annika and Tommy. they are very nice children and they all have adventures together most of the time with Mr. Nilsson and some times with Pippi horse. The things that Pippi does : moves into Villa Villekulla(the house), thing finder and gets into a fight, plays tag with some Police men, goes to school, sits on a gate and climes a tree.

The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events)

The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events)

By Lemony Snicket

Okay, I have no idea why there was only one review before I posted mine, but anyways: THIS WHOLE SERIES WAS AMAZING! The clues, the mysteries, the villains! They all connected and resolved so perfectly! Although there were a lot of sad parts throughout the series, I loved every single moment. The Netflix show was also amazing, my siblings and I loved it.

Hunting for Hidden Gold (The Hardy Boys, No. 5)

Hunting for Hidden Gold (The Hardy Boys, No. 5)

By Franklin W. Dixon

Lucky for him, his sons, Joe and Frank, help him on the case. Will thehy be able to turn the theives over to the sherrif, or will they be the laughing stock of their village? This book was good! I think this series is the second best mystery series after Nancy Drew.
