Redwall (Redwall, Book 1)

Redwall (Redwall, Book 1)

By Brian Jacques

Matthias starts out as an adorable pup of a mouse and ends up a good and formidable young adult mouse. He is the protagonist and you can't help but adore him, together with Constance the Badger and the old Methuselah mouse... The second favorite of mine, Silent Sam, is plain cute, and the Sparrow and Rabbit are great supporting characters! But the star of the show is definitely the writing style and the enchanted atmosphere of this world. The descriptions are brisk but just enough to give you a feel of the forest and its inhabitants, while the banter is plentiful and lively. The whole book reads very smoothly and there is no chance of you getting lost along the way. I loved all the different characters, and really enjoyed the old-school valiant hero and terrible villain. I also liked that the author didn't shy away from death and pain. Actions have consequences and kids, who often believe themselves invulnerable, eventually have to deal with the changes that come from the passing of someone, and that life changes, but keeps on going... 5/5 star :)

Ellie's Story: A Dog's Purpose Novel

Ellie's Story: A Dog's Purpose Novel

By W. Bruce Cameron

this was a great book I loved it Ellie was a dog that wasn't treated right she was treated right by other people her owner only let her sleep on the small blanket and when Ellie's owner had to do a real crime they had to find the little girl and there was a guy that shot Ellie's owner Ellie said that " the blood smelled like a very strong chemical" and that part of the book made me sad but Ellie was a very good dog she has different emotions in each part of the book Ellie is a good example as a smart, kind. responsible dog! this book was very well mad it had a lot of details so readers can understand the story about what's going on Ellie was a well-behaved dog she was trained every day by her owner she will never be miss behaving she will always listen to her owner I recommend this book to people that want to learn about police dogs and what they do and people that love dogs the book is easy and fun and educational!

Where the Red Fern Grows

Where the Red Fern Grows

By Wilson Rawls

There are a lot of good and great books in the world, but Where The Red Fern Grows is definitely something special. Ten year old Billy Colman has his heart set on getting dogs. To be specific, he wants two coonhounds. He asks again and again for those two dogs, but as much as his parents want to get them for him, they can't afford two coonhounds for Billy. So Billy works long and hard so he can buy two coonhounds with his own money. Eventually, Billy gets the amount he needs and buys two coonhounds. He names them Old Dan and Little Ann. Billy works with them and trains them, and Old Dan and Little Ann turn out to be excellent coon hunters. They tree so many raccoons which Billy sells to get money for his family. Soon, Old Dan and Little Ann are more to Billy than his hunting dogs. They are his best friends. Where The Red Fern Grows is such a heartwarming story. I love the bond Billy has with his dogs. This classic is one of my favorites. I recommend this book to boys and girls ages 10+.

Nightfall (Keeper of the Lost Cities)

Nightfall (Keeper of the Lost Cities)

By Shannon Messenger

This book is amazing! On the challenging scale, I would rate it a 3 - super good! I rate it a 3 because I learned a lot, but there weren’t many challenging words. What especially surprised me was when Alvar was like, “Huh? Who’s Alvar?” It was a very cliffhanger-y end to the story. I also liked that Sophie got to see Amy/Natalie again. It was funny when Amy got ride on Silveny and she’s all, “Aggghhh! But this is sooo fun!” It would be cool if Amy could teleport with Silveny, but that would be dangerous since nobody knows if Silveny would come back. I think that 4th to 7th graders would benefit from this book the most, since I think that 8 year-olds wouldn’t understand it as much.

Warrior Cats Volume 1 to 12 Books Collection Set (The Complete First Series (Warriors: The Prophecies Begin Volume 1 to 6) & The Complete Second Series (Warriors: The New Prophecy Volume 7 to 12)

By Erin Hunter

You guys should read these amazing books! I recommend this to ages 4-12. It is combined with funniness and interesting-ness! (Not a word by the way) And they call us and our human things different names, like they call us "Twolegs and Upwalkers" and our roads "The Thunder-path" and guess what?! Our cars are named "Monsters!" It is filled with, happiness, funniness and braveness altogether! It is amazing! I read like 11 books of them already! Thank Erin Hunter for these lovely books! They made me want to read instead of sit in my room watching TV all day! I read the at night straight in the morning I just can't get enough! Everything is fun while reading these awesome books! And when you read you can picture it all in your head and once you keep reading more it is a whole movie inside a book! All the new words you can learn and don't get me started on the herbs! Doctors, healers, vets can use the herbs in these books to help more and more animals! ( I have tried trust me) and even if ya can't afford them just tell me and I will send you the words in the book! I know them by heart! There are prophecies you can think about before you keep reading and if you don't want to they will figure out what it means...I can't spoil it but there is a cat named Firestar and Fireheart you'll know why he has 2 names soon! And welp here is my review! It sure is long

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

By Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (The Long Haul) is about an ordinary teenager named Greg who’s just trying to enjoy summer break, which had just started. Unexpectedly, his mom planned a surprise road trip. Most of their family members were unsatisfied with what she came up with and showed a reluctant attitude, yet they still went on that trip. Throughout the trip, events that happened were unexpected, none of them actually imagined anything like it would happen on their road trip. I can somewhat understand Greg’s feelings towards the trip because I had experiences of unexpected trips and unwilling to go to the trip as well. Also, his personality is just like any other teenagers, who wants to spend summer break on activities that interests them the most. I enjoyed the parts where their family had to deal with the pig that Manny got, it was exceedingly entertaining and I actually laughed out for a few parts of it. Overall, this is an interesting novel and I’ll recommend this to readers who likes to read about teenager’s life.
