I think this book is also good if you are intererested in learning about history, and wars. I also love these series of books, because they are all about different natural disasters, and wars that happened. I just can't get over these books that Lauren Tarshis has written! This is one of my new favorite books.
It is about a kid, who leaves New York, because he and hs friend get in trouble a lot, and one day his friend (Finn) gets hurt, and has to go to the hospital. Danny (the kid) is now moving to Hawaii, to get a fresh start. A couple weeks after they move there though, Danny gets wrapped up in the bombing of Pearl Harbor! I love these series of books. There are 4 in the series, and they are by Dan Gutman. The only one that I have not read, is the fourth and final one. When I first saw this book, I thought it looked ok....... but then I read it! MAN! This book is such a good classic, and will pull you into this book, into a world of living back then. Give this book a try! Five star for perfection.
