Kids hate school--what an understatement! So when fifth-graders Jessica, Luke, Peter, Danielle, Alexia and Jeremy start their school year, They're surprised to find that their rookie homeroom teacher, Mr. Terupt, is a fun, cheery, play-with-the-students man. What other teacher plays silly games, makes jokes, and listens to the children's feelings? Mr. Terupt makes the school year so much more interesting (despite the endless arguments between Alexia, Jessica and Danielle) until the snow-day accident that leaves the students' beloved teacher in a serious coma. Praying with all their might, it seems to the children that Mr. Terupt has given his lat lesson--or has he? Read on in this touching, perfectly-crafted novel about how something small can change everything.Almost 6 years agograpefruit's book review was featured in Drama.
Callie's not exactly Broadway potential. Her voice isn't graceful, her limbs aren't beautiful, and you wouldn't say she's popular at school. But when a school play starts auctioning, she's as excited as ever. Why? Easy--she's working behind-the-scenes. Spunky, dramatic, and full of charm, Cal must multitask and juggle friendship troubles, muddled loves, and the theater issues all in her hands. Problems include new friends, Jesse and Justin, who give her company but impact her life, a boy who she likes but seems annoyed at her, and on top of that faulty props and non-selling tickets. Can Callie survive the dreadful play--and her year at school? Read on in this cheery, excited book to find out!Almost 6 years agograpefruit added a book review.

Since everyone is like friends here. I have a crazy idea that probably will never really become anything but, what if like dogo news hosted an event? Like where we could meet people, and like we would have nametags of our usernames like I would be wearing a nametag saying (koreanbacongirl). What do ya people think about that??? Say #event if ya think its cool! #event!Almost 6 years agograpefruit has read this book.

Exhilarating! But I sort of agree with the "learning how to control the waves yourself" thing--isn't it better just to use the natural way?Almost 6 years agograpefruit replied to a comment in
