This book is much more real life and relatable than any other dog book. In my book Buddy a kid named Lil’T who already has a rough life, goes through some more rough time when he decides to get a dog of his own. The dog's name is Buddy. This book takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. A conflict that he faces is Hurricane Katrina and having to leave his dog behind. When he goes back after the hurricane Buddy is missing! Lil'T really wants to go and look for Buddy but his family thinks that they should first find shelter and a place to live. In this book the antagonist is definitely the hurricane but also Lil'Ts family keeps switching between protagonist and antagonist from different situations. The protagonists are Lil'T and Buddy. Another conflict is that Lil'T has to make a life changing decision for both him and Buddy. Overall I really liked and enjoyed this book. I have read it so many times because of how much I enjoy the story. I really recommend this book and it is a great free read and independent book to enjoy.

Ty is following in his brother’s footsteps and is a star WR for his school team. So everything goes fine for Ty until his brother Thane hurts his knee. Suddenly everything starts to go wrong. Ty finds out that his uncle is coming back into town for a news report. Ty's uncle is in trouble with the mafia because of a stunt he pulled that got two members arrested. But now there is two more members that are the antagonists wanting to hurt Ty's uncle. But the only way they'll find his uncle is by going to Ty. So since Ty's brother is in the hospital that means Ty is home all alone. But when Ty hears a noise one night and calls his brother suddenly there's an FBI agent at his house. Then Ty thinks about another thing he has to worry about. A six in six football tournament! So while Ty is worrying about the mafia he has to try out for a team that will be playing at halftime on Super Bowl Sunday! I liked this book because it is about a kid that plays football and it is written well.

This review is not for this book but for another book that Tracie Vaughn Zimmer wrote called Reaching For Sun.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be disabled? In the book Reaching For Sun by Tracie Vaughn Zimmer Josie Wyatt knows what it's like. In the book Josie is the protagonist and antagonist. Josie is different than all the other kids at school, she has a disability called cerebral palsy, her disability is also one of the major conflicts in the book. Josie just wants to have friends and join in on the fun. She wants to be normal. Josie lives with her mom and gran (grandmother) in a farmhouse that has been in the family for years. Josie's grandmother has been forced to sell some of their land due to their shortage of money and with the huge mansions being built behind their house it now seems even smaller. Things seem to just get worse and worse for Josie. But when a boy her age moves into one of the houses being built behind her house things start to look better for Josie. This book takes place during her 7th grade school year at Josie's house, school, and occasionally the nursing home that she and her gran visit. Another major conflict in the book is when the new boy Jordan moves into one of the new houses. The turning point in the book is when Josie stands up to her mom and tells her how she feels. If you're looking for a short read or just a good book then I recommend reading it!

Reaching for sun By Vaughn Zimmer What you do if you had a disability causing everyone to treat you different? Josie Wyatt has cerebral palsy, a disease she was born with. Josie's disease causes her to feel like an outcast from everyone else. Josie blames herself for her disease that's why I believe she is the antagonist and protagonist. Josie grew up with her mother and grandmother she's never known her father he left her at a young age. The book reaching for sun Won the “Schneider family book award” it is a very powerful story. One of the conflicts is with Josie, she gets mad at herself for having cerebral palsy, she feels alone until a boy named Jordan moves into a house nearby and everything changes. Another conflict is with other kids at school they act like she doesn't exist. The setting of this book is josie’s neighborhood and at her school. As soon as Jordan comes into her life she doesn't just have more confidence but, she has a best friend. Do Josie and Jordan become more than friends? Find out by reading Reaching For Sun. This book Is a great story with a powerful message I strongly recommend it for anyone that likes a quick and easy read.

The Worst Class Field Trip Ever Dave Berry Have you ever been on a class field trip? Well in this book Wyatt and Matt (protagonists) leave with their class to Washington DC from Miami Florida. All Wyatt wants to do is not let Matt embarrass him in front of his crush Suzan (another protagonist), On the plane there they see these weird guys and Matt messed up, big time. Matt thought the in weird guys backpack there was a bomb but it was a giant paper mache dragon head. The next day they see them at the White House sneaking around, they see Matt and Wyatt and start chasing them, But they made it to their bus in time. On my the bus on the way back to the hotel Matt tells Wyatt that he stole something that he thought was a bomb detonator (conflict). That night the weird guys come to there hotel room and kidnap Matt! (conflict) Luckily Suzan had kept it in her purse, after Cameron (a kid in Wyatt's hotel room, also a protagonist) has his dad that tell him it's a jammer (jams missiles to go to unwanted targets) they think the guys plan to bomb the White House. They try and form a plan to save the president and the White House.(turning point) They are also trying to save Matt but will they ever see him again? I really recommend this book to EVERYONE. The protagonists are the ones mentioned before and someone you don't expect. The antagonist is another person you won't expect, if I tell you who they are it will ruin the whole book for you. Another conflict is where they have is at the end where there is an epic showdown at the White House again don't want give anything away. Like I said before I would recommend this book to everyone and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Inheritance by: Christopher Paolini Reviewed by: Nick Drown Gr. 7 “Inheritance” by Christopher Paolini takes place in the ancient realm of Alagaesia where a hero’s struggle for the final battle against his antagonist Galbatorix - the evil king of Alagaesia - may or may not be successful. The kingdom of Alagaesia is a lot like the middle ages in the sense that there are castles and dragons, swords and shields. Elves, Dwarves, Urgals, and Ra’Zac roam the kingdom and make their civilizations throughout the Empire. The hero is Eragon and he is struggling to win the war against Galbatorix. Many times he has tried to thwart the mad king’s plans, and many times he has failed. Galbatorix is a usurper and his people live in fear. Eragon hopes to stop Galbatorix’s reign of terror by overthrowing him. Galbatorix seems to be winning the battles with the laughing dead - men who can feel no pain. Eragon must beat him or the Varden will die. Even though they are winning, the Empire is very worried. Galbatorix is insane, and the Varden have ACTUALLY captured two of their strongest cities: Gil’ead and Dras-Leona. The, Empire send out hundreds - even THOUSANDS of men but the Varden win most of the battles no matter what the odds. Now, because of a werecat’s prophecy, Eragon must journey to the Rock of Kuthian in order to find the power that will help him fight against Galbatorix. This could very well be the turning point of the war. What he finds there is legendary, perhaps even more than he can handle. He finds his true name and unlocks the Rock of Kuthian, which is the Vault of Dragon Souls, but, can he control what he finds? Saphira, Eragon’s great dragon, is one of the three dragons left on Alagaesia after Galbatorix’s purge and almost Extinction of Dragons. Saphira battles the two other dragons, Thorn and Shruikan, endangering her safety and the safety of her race. With two Dragons against her, can Saphira defeat her foes? However, unfortunately, if she kills them, she is the last of her kind. “Inheritance” by Christopher Paolini is a truly wonderful book and is full of action, adventure, suspense, and surprises that are unforgettable.

Can you imagine your life changing in the blink of an eye? One second, one split second and it's all gone. Mia was just a normal teenage girl that morning, she had her mother, her father, and her brother Teddy. Almost all of that was taken from Mia that snow day when the truck hit her car. Have you ever just been somewhere at the wrong time? In the book If I stay by Gayle Forman, 17 year old Mia was. And it changed her life forever. Most of the book takes place in the hospital, on what was going to be an awesome snow day. The antagonist is The coma that Mia is in, and the protagonist is Mia, because she is always changing and well developed throughout the story. One major conflict in this book is the fact that Mia can see everything that's happening while she's laying on her hospital bed. She sees her best friend, boyfriend, and family. But no one can see her, feel her, or hear her. Another conflict in the book is that mia has to make one of the biggest decision she will ever make. Would you want to wake up an orphan, or die and leave behind so many people who love you? There is always that one person in your life that has an impact on the decisions you make. For Mia, that person was her grandfather. The soothing words he said to her, for a second made her feel like she had something to live for. “It's okay if you want to stop fighting.” This book can make you cry, and it's definitely a must read!
