In a futuristic North America lies Panem, a nation comprising of twelve districts surrounding the Capitol. After a failed rebellion by the districts, the harsh, draconian Capitol keeps the districts in line by annually sending one boy and one girl, between the ages of twelve and eighteen, to the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death. Winning means fame, fortune, and benefits your entire district. Losing, inevitably, means death. Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen-year-old girl from District Twelve, lives alone with her mother and twelve-year-old sister Primrose, and must use her excellent hunting skills (given to her by her father, who died in a mine accident five years ago) to find food in order to survive. On reaping day, when the twenty-four tributes from each district are collected, her sister Prim is chosen, most likely facing death – and Katniss, due to her devotion for her sister, volunteers to take her place. Along with Peeta Mallark, the male tribute from her district with which she has something of a history and a romantic relationship that may be more than staged, Katniss must put her survival skills to the test as she faces 23 other tributes from different districts, witness people’s death at the hands of others, and constantly fight to keep her own life and that of the ones she loves. “The Hunger Games,” the first in a trilogy by Suzanne Collins, is a PHENOMENAL dystopian novel, and one of the very best books that I have ever read. It is an unforgettable, extraordinary novel that I will never forget reading and am sure to re-read many times. Although I would not recommend it to younger readers, because of the bloody and violent nature of the book – I was kept from reading it for a long time – I would DEFINITELY recommend it to any young adult or adult, both girls and boys, who love dystopia or are simply looking for an unforgettable read.

This is a great movie, if you like other Avenger movies you will LOVE this one. This is a five star movie!

The crown is a cool way to end The Section Series. Eadlyn is to have the thrown when her parents retire, but their people don't really agree with them, so her parents tell her something she can do. Eadlyn ends up hosting her own Selection only not wanting to find a friend, or a husband. She is only doing it for her parents and to win over her people. Surprisingly she does find some interests from some of the boys and does not like it. And she also has to prepare for becoming Queen. On top of it all her twin brother Ahren goes to France to marry the princess, or how he says it soul mate. Only he doesn't tell anybody. Eadlyn's mother shocked by the news has a heart attack. The king becomes depressed and never leaves her side. Now Eadlyn has a Selection to run and a country. Without her brother she seems helpless, but realizes that she does need a soul mate, only the one she loves isn't a selected. How will her people feel about her if she choses him? Confused she knows she has to make a choice, but how? When she ends up telling her dad this she finds out a lot about his selection and him and his side of the family that she didn't know about. But it is not just him she learns his selection from. When she started the selection her mom told her some stuff too. Finally she knows what to do and doesn't care what anybody else thinks. What will she do? Read the book to find out! If you like the other Selection books I highly recommend this book.

The Hunger Games is an amazing book about this terrible place where children from the age 12/18 are forced to sign up for a drawing. There are districts, Katniss lives in District 12. She lives with her mom and her sister Prim and are very poor. To survive Katniss must hunt illegally for her family to stay alive. When the day came one boy and one girl from each district to play the Hunger Games. Both Katniss and Prim are in the drawing. Katniss hoping she doesn't get drawn, gets surprised when her sister Prim gets drawn. Without thinking Katniss volunteers for her sister. Then a boy gets drawn. His name is Peeta. Now Katniss and Peeta go on a train to the Capitol where the arena is. There is food, showers, clean cloths. But the day they get interviewed Peeta says he has a crush on her. Now everybody believes their in love. What is she going to do now? The day of the Hunger Games came. The Hunger Games is a place where 24 people fight to the death. Starving and getting sick. Its the Capitols way for entertainment. Katniss is pretty good with a bow and arrows, and a knife. But she has never killed anybody. She either wins or dies. The rules change has the game goes along. Strange and bad things happen. How will it turn out? If you like Gregory the Overlander then you will likes the Hunger Games Series.
