This a cool book about a boy who runs a hotel that has a legend that there is an "all seeing eye" somewhere on its property. There are a lot of twists and turns including that it turns out his Aunt Anaconda is as witch and his best friend's mom is a perfumer-someone who traps witches. Although the plot moves slowly which is why I rated it only 3 stars, it is a good book.

When a cranky teenager shows up on her doorstep, eleven year old Ellie doesn't know what to think. The weirdest thing is, he acts just like her grandpa, a scientist looking for the secret to immortality. Is it possible he found it? The Fourteenth goldfish is a book about life's meaning, going too far, exploring the unknown and possibility.

This book is about Mo LoBeau who lives in a small town where everything is local and there are no secrets. Mo washed up from a hurricane when she was a baby and knows no other home. So when a detective comes around asking about a murder, Mo and her friend Dale must work together to protect those they love in this meaningful story. Through its gentle start to its awesomely exciting climax that keeps you on your toes, Three Times Lucky is a great book about family, friends, and of course, mystery.

demigod3000's book review was featured in Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin.
Baby Rump was born on a mountain where your name is your destiny, so naturally, he is always the one being teased. But he has a faint recollection of when he was born, his mother saying his name was something different right before she died. But, no time for that, he is too busy working panning for gold to support his Grandma and him, that is, until he discovers he can spin straw into gold! His best friend red warns him, but he is too excited, until his plan fails and he must save the most beautiful girl on the mountain( the millers daughter from the original version)from what his cockiness has done. In this beautifully spun tale about identity, Liesl Shurtliff creates a new version of Rumpelstiltskin that is just as believable as the other.

The Fourteenth Goldfish is a really enjoyable short read by Jennifer L. Holm. Where a young girl named Ellie finds out her grandfather has discovered the T. Melvinus, a jellyfish that restores youth. As her 14 year old grandfather desperately tries to get his jellyfish back from his lab that he's been locked out of Ellie wonders is it really right to share eternal youth with the world? Or will it be another atomic bomb? ( also I really enjoyed counting the goldfish on each chapter page!)

demigod3000liked a comment in Feminism: Reinventing the F-Word.
It's always about the men being strong and caring for the women-- past ideas. Common for humanity to say "that's just how it is" and forget it. But what happens when the WOMEN take back the power? And will we discover the fact that it's rightfully their's? This is a book of feminists--the not-caring-about-diets singers, the female rights activists, the strong and proud women writers--the world's women who want a change. And after reading this book, that's how you'll feel too. Every person, no matter you are girl, boy, or anyone else, raise your thumbs and say #Yes All Women!

This book sounds really neat. Liesl Shurtliff's books remind of The Land of Stories series. Fairytales have never been so hilarious! It's coming out on May 29th, 2018. I really want to get it.
