Hiiii there everyone!!! I just got back from my 1 week long summer camp and I met many amazing people at camp and this year is my seventh (7th) year at camp! What's up?!?!

Wow, seventh year!! That’s awesome! I got to a camp in Florida for a week in July! Pretty nervous but excited too!

Okay y’all QUIZ TIME!! Since there are quite a few new members I thought basic questions would be nice so we could all get to know each other better! 1. What was the best movie you have seen this year (2024) so far? 2. Do you enjoy listening to podcasts? If so, which ones your fav? 3. Who are some role models or people you really look up to? 4. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be? 5. What is your favorite meal of the day? 6. What are some of your favorite hobbies? MY ANSWERS: 1. Unsung Hero (so good, I really recommend it! But bring tissues! 🤧) 2. Yes and I am currently really loving Stay True with Madison Prewett Troutt 3. I really look up to Sadie Robertson Huff, Mōriah Smallbone, and Madison Prewett Troutt (plus my parents are huge role models in my life too!) 4. I kind of want to visit Nashville. I’ve gone there once but never left the freeway 5. Lunch! 6. Listening to music, hand lettering, reading, and just relaxing….I hope you all enjoyed the quiz and I look forward your answers! 😃

I totally understand with the podcast thing, I was the same way until I found some I really liked. Osaka Japan would be such a cool place to visit! Also, I love your hobbies, especially learning German! So amazing! Thanks for replying!

just remembered i watched Megan Leavey a few weeks ago that was a great movie, if vicious dogs and blood aint a trigger for you i recommend sad Rex died just a few months after retiring from the marine tho (not a soiler btw its based off a true story and his death had nothing to do with the movie)

Oh, nice! I'm a bit of a weakling when it comes to horror movies, blood, and pretty much anything scary! XD

1. Really I've been watching Marvel movies, because when I little I thought that they would be stupid, but they're pretty well made.. 😅 2. I don't listen to podcasts, except the ones my listens to in the car 🤣 3. My mom, dad, Fr.(......) Fr.(.....) 4. PARIS 5. Lunch? Idk... 6. My music JavaScript-HTML-CSS (Coding), going on the trampoline, sports, art, hand lettering sometimes, and hanging out with my pets!

Ooh coding, you’re so smart! I didn’t know you hand-lettered, what’s your favorite technique? Thanks for replying!

I wish I could code, but all I can do is slap a game in the drive, and play. haha 😂

1. I'm not really sure, I'm not big on movies. 2. Yes, I really like the sports podcast Phillies Talk! 3. My parents 4. The Cayman Islands 5. Breakfast! 6. Reading, collecting baseball cards, and watching sports! Thanks for the quiz!

Ooh the Cayman Islands! That’s really cool! And breakfast is a great one after all it is the most important meal of the day! Thanks for replying!

Hi ! I am a new member and it will be great to know everyone. - MY ANSWERS: 1.The School for Good and Evil(I just watched it a few days ago). 2.Yes! Who Smarted(It is a educational podcast that you can learn science and history). 3.Not sure:) 4.Japan or Spain. 5.Lunch,too! 6.Reading,listen to music and traveling! - Those are great questions and nice to meet you!!! 😂😂😂

Hello and welcome to the club!! That podcast sounds great! Japan would be an awesome place to visit! Also listening to music is totally my jam! Thanks for replying!

Contemporary Christian or Christian pop 🙃🎶 what about you?

I like a lot of 90s music, like Ice Ice Baby, (by vanilla ice) I also like MC Hammer, (The song "U can't touch this" and maybe pray? it gets repetitive though) MC Hammer is a Christian musician as well! I also like "Gods eyes" (By dax) I really like this one. That last one was not 90s God's eyes might honestly be my fav. I also really like Eye of the tiger (90s again) and Burning heart (Survivor) I listened to the two that you mentioned, and it is, calming! If I listed the music I like, it would probably be a paragraph! but those mentioned above are the biggest ones.

I’ve heard of a lot of those! I like your taste in music!!

Haha, Thanks you! 😄 I'm happy you liked them, as I feel like a lot of people I talk to most of the time, don't know what I am talking about. I like your taste as well! I'm surprised you have heard the same ones I have!

Same for me! Most of the people I talk to have never heard of the music I listen to 😮 Also, I'm with you: this comment would a book by the time I listed all my favorite songs! XD Anyways, yeah, I like 90s music enough. I recently watched a movie called Unsung Hero that was set in the 90s and it had a bunch of music from that era like "Rhythm of My Heart" by Rod Stewart and "Crazy" by Seals. Also, I really like "Somebody that I Used to Know" by Gotye 🙃

I know all of those songs, cool! It is pretty cool that you know them! Do you use headphones to listen to your music? I have a Surround sound system in my room with a Subwoofer, and a Pc that I have my music on. My parents don't like when I crank it up, LOL 😆 (It is very loud, haha.) Also, I've noticed that you have brought up Unsung Hero a few times, what kind of movie is it? I've watched a few movies that were set in the 90s, and I always liked them.

My dad bought a Subwoofer for one of our TVs and I absolutely adore it! It makes everything so much clearer and better quality! LOL about your parents! And yes, I probably have brought up Unsung Hero a lot because it was just sooooo good! I don't know if you're familiar with the band for KING + COUNTRY but it's my absolute favorite! It's a Christian pop duo and the movie is about about their families move from Australia to Nashville TN. It's a Christian 90s film really. In fact, I actually wrote a movie review about on DOGO movies in case you're interested in learning more about the movie. It was super sweet and heart-warming! My mom took me to see it and we both cried multiple times! 😂

I will definitely look at that band, also, is there a favorite song out of the band you would recommend?

Oh, I don't even know where to start! I like to think of myself as their biggest fan😂 You can't go wrong with any of their songs but some of their more popular ones are "Burn the Ships", "God Only Knows", "joy." and "RELATE". I personally really like "Priceless" and "Shoulders" too. But, seriously, I adore all of their songs so any of them would be great to start listening to :)

Oh! I have heard all three of those! Also, I didn't know that "Crazy" was set in the 90s, that came as a little surprise to me, as I thought it was a pretty new song. I also don't just like 90s music, as there is a ton of modern music that I love.

No way, awesome! Modern music is pretty good too but I just mostly listen to contemp. Christian🙃

Also, my mom loves Contemp Christian.

I am not sure! I just LOVE all kinds of music.

Okay, so, 1. I don't really watch movies, since they can be rrrrrrrrreally long sometimes so I get tired. 2. I don't listen to podcasts. 3. My mom and my dad. 4. Spain, since I have started to learn Spanish. 5. Lunch 6. Playing the piano, painting, drawing, making crafts, doing puzzles, playing games and reading.

That would be the second person to want to go to Spain! It looks like a beautiful place! I luv that you know how to play the piano, that’s really neat! Thanks for replying!

1) Possibly "Timeless Christmas" I watched a Christmas movie in May haha! 2) I don't, I never understand podcasts because I can't hear them!! 3) My mom, few of counselors at my summer camp, and few of staffs at camp! 4) Portugal or Spain! 5) Lunch (idk why) 6) maybe collecting and doing puzzles, and definitely reading!

I luv Timeless Christmas and in my opinion watching Christmas movies in May totally awesome! Visiting Portugal or Spain would be so fun! Thanks for replying!

Yeah, no problem! My family said, "Watching Christmas movies in May are very bad!!" 🤣🤣🤣

Alright! I was hoping you would do this. 1. Umm.... I haven't seen too many good movies, but I would say, Rocky or, Sight, (Warning, it may make you cry, as it did my mom.) Oh, and also, Rise of the Beasts. 2. (I don't really listen to podcasts. that much.) I could say which one me and my dad do, but I feel as though some would be offended, (Politics). 3. Role model? Rocky Balboa, as I like how he never gives up, no matter how hard it gets. 4. Umm, I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, and Universal Studios Oh, and also, do you mean Nashville Indiana about one of the places you want to go? 5. I would have to say lunch too! 6. My fav hobbies? Working out, trying to upgrade my computers with the budget of pocket fuzz and a shoe string. Putting hop up parts on my go-kart, riding my bike, and going fast. I also like restoring old rusty mowers and reselling them. (the money is saved for a car). Well, that wraps it up! Thanks for this Techfashion!

I want to watch Sight so badly!!!! And I meant Nashville Tennessee, I didn’t know there was a Nashville in Indiana! 😂Thanks for replying!

Sure! About sight, Over all, I thought it was a very good movie, but some parts of it seem a bit strung out, to make the movie longer. I really enjoyed seeing it in theaters, and I think you will too! 😄 And about Nashville (Indiana), we go hiking all every Friday there, as it is only a hour drive. I don't know where you live, so it might be a longer drive for you. If you can get to it, I really recommend it! The trails are great, and the food is amazing! There is all kinds of Ice cream shops, and oooold restaurants, like from the 1800s and somedays, I actually think that building is going to fall on my head, as it is...... wobbly? LOL I am really not that big of a fan of old villages and towns, but this one, I really like! Oh, and also, there is huge pools, biking trails, horseback riding, and ziplining! But the one big thing I like are the trails, they are amazing! they go down ravines, through small streams, and more! I really enjoy it, I wish you could get to it too!

I actually saw the trailer for it in the theaters with my mom when we went to see Unsung Hero and it looked like such a touching movie! That’s cool about Nashville! I live on the east coast so it would quite a drive but still that sounds really neat! Thanks for sharing!

That's a shame, as it is about a 40 or 50 minute drive for us. We go pretty much every Friday, if nothing is going on.

Haha, Thanks! I I take it your family doesn't like long drives? My family will go pretty much anywhere, (that is reasonable). Every year, pretty much we go to Disney World, and that is about a 10-12 hour drive. (There is a lot of things that Disney is doing that I don't agree with though. so I kinda have to tune some of it out, lol.)

Actually my parents and I just made a 22 hour (one way, so 44 hours round-trip!) down to FL so we could visit my sister and so I could go to a camp. We don't usually take super long trips but when we do...they are LOONNGGG! XD

The Rocky movies I like. are Rocky 3 and 4.

You guys, I'm still not on summer break 😭 it's super tragic AND I still have 3 weeks.

Well, hey! At least on the bright side, you get to start school way later than the rest of us!

Oh no! Don't worry, it'll come soon!!

Guess who just finished her first year of highschool? I missed you guys! Now what is your latest read?

Wow! Missed you too! Trading faces (I wouldn't normally chose that, but I got voted out in book club...)

Congrats! I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I’m really enjoying it so far (I’m on the second book, Crown of Midnight)! If you ever decide to read it, I recommend reading The Assassin’s Blade before the actual first book.

Nice! My latest read is called the secrets necklace, I read the first one years ago, and I thought that I might as well finish the 2nd one

Congrats! I just finished 'Salt and Sugar' by Rebecca Carvalho. I'm starting 'I'm the Girl' by Courtney Summers. I've heard good things about it, so I'm excited!

Nicee! Tbh I'm currently not reading anything, so if yall have any recommendations, I'm all ears (just a heads up I'm kinda picky when it comes to books😅). I love fantasy like "A Throne of Glass" by Sarah J. Maas ( it's slow, but REALLY GOOD).

Fantasy is my favorite genre! I’m like 1/4 thru the second book, and it is a bit slow, but I hear it gets progressively better further on.

If you like fantasy, I would recommend the series the "Land of Stories" by Chris Colfer. It is excellent!

I LOVE the "Land of Stories" and I like fantasy, too!

I love the Land of Stories, too! It’s a really easy read, but it was my fav series for some time

I am currently reading the book "Swiss Family Robinson" by Johann David Wyss. It is kind of an adventure kind of book.

Wait... That's a real book? I thought it got made up for a book. (The war that saved my life)

I'm picky too! I would recommend A Faraway Island... It's historical fiction, and it takes place in the summer of 1939

Okay I’m totally picky too! I would suggest “So This Is Love” by Elizabeth Lim. It’s my favorite book of all time and it’s a reimagined version of the Cinderella story! It’s SO GOOD and it kind of fantasy!

Oh I've heard of it before! I'll definitely put it on my tbr, thanks for the recommendation!!!

Nice! I am glad! Hope you did well!

Congrats!! What was it like? I'm going into highschool next, and I'm really nervous. I'm currently reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan!

The Red Pyramid? Is that part of the Kane Chronicles series?

Wow, congrats! I’m going to be a freshie in hs so that’s exciting! The latest book I’m planning on reading is called “Made For This Moment” by Madison Prewett Troutt. Glad you are back btw!

This week’s quote: “Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.” ~ Winston Churchill. 😉

Oh wow.......... That is such and amazing quote! I like quotes like that. I wish to be like that someday. I am considering becoming a police officer, but I have not looked into it yet. I think it will be a long time coming, as I am 14.

I luv quotes too! Something my mom suggested for me to do was to create a running list of quotes that speak to you. It is really fun to collect and really helps me get through some tough days. Anyway it’s cool that you already know what you want to be! Btw I’m 14 too!

And, it is good you have a list of quotes that can help you through being a teenager. (I struggle daily) Becoming a teenager it is kinda cool, but at the same time, I don't know..... I seem to get in trouble a lot more than I used to, LOL.

I agree, being a teen in 2024 definitely takes strength and moxie! 😂

Oh cool! I like talking to people my age, as they understand me better! Also, about becoming a police officer, I really don't know yet, Because my true dream job, is being a mechanic. (my parents do not want me to as it is pretty low paying) But that is my true dream job, as I am very passionate about working on cars.

Always listen to your parent's advice, I’ve learned that my parents are very wise! Also being passionate about something is really important for life
