This book is about a boy named Rye who's city Weld is under attack of skimmers, human hunting beasts. Both of his brothers went out to protect the city through a secret passage through the wall guarding the beloved city. Neither returned so Rye went to get his brothers. Along the way he meets a keep orphan named Sonia that insists on her going with him. Which door will he pick? I'm sorry, I don't want to give it away.
