The author came and visited our school. She said she has written eleven books and is working on one now. She also said that she is a terrible speller but her editor helps her and she is happy that someone can improve her books and give her the credit that she deserves.

The books talking about desciminatin and the great depression and how women and men struggeld and how the family struggled to get by . I recomend this book because it teaches you alot and its a great play

THIS WAS AN AMAZING BOOK.I really liked it. It was at my school library. My school is Richland Creek Elementary.

This book will be good for people who like happy endings but also like a interesting story. Me personally would recommend this book to people who like the limes of the civil war but not the actual wars themselves. I enjoyed reading this book and I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I love how there's different paths so you can do different things

I like to know what Jessie,Violet,Benny and Henry's life was like before they became orphans. it is very interesting to know.

This book is the best book for read aloud. When my teacher read this to my class, we all were on the edge of our seats. This book is about Mem, a girl who is very frustrated about moving from her beloved home in Hartland to move to the Genesee country. One trait for men in the beginning is stubborn because she refused to move from her true home. In the end Mem is independent because she survives on her own in the wild with a little help from Artemis Ware. The other books in the series are outstanding, too.The most heartbreaking one is frozen summer. I am currently at the end of the road home, and this series will never let me down and that's a fact. So read this book to find out about mem's journey and see if she'll be capable to make it in the wild, making it to NY, and see for yourself how her locket has helped her.

I really want to read this!

i love the end when it actually was rhoda's friend who was the wrecker it was an amazing plot twist!
