Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennigton-Jones enrolls at the Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies and is in for a world of trouble. Alethea has it out for everyone at the school but espically Alice-Miranda and for whatever her evil reasons are she and Ms.Grimm will do anything to get Alice-Miranda out of the school.

I grabbed this book from the shelf at my library because the title was captivating and it was a Junior Library Guild Selection. It had to good, right? Wrong. This book turned out to be a sore disappointment. It follows the stories of three "littlepoors", who are tiny, about the size of a rat, and poor, named Warner, Prayer, and Usher. Warner and Prayer are siblings whose dad has recently died from being stepped on by a cat, and whose Mom is severely injured. They end up leaving their littlepoor neighborhood, attempting to "scale up" (get bigger by getting more munmun). They go on many adventures and change sizes several times. I stopped about halfway through because I got really bored, and I didn't want to know what other trash was in the middle. I skipped to the end, and the end was not very well written either. Overall, the book may be "a powerful look at wealth and class", but it's also boring, badly written, and not worth your time.

Huh, sounds cool, i might read it. The cotton candy part sonds appealying.I wonder how good an aother Debbie Viguie is too. I might just read it!

It was my favorite book it was interesting all kinds of twists you should read this book this book is perfect for tweens at a higher level read than the grade their in for example I was in grade 5 when I read this book and it is the best book I have ever read

This was an interesting book about a number of universal topics: family, community, love and loss. In addition, it deals with finding your way in the world and figuring out who you are. What I liked most about the book is the setting--an imaginary island off the coast of New England--and the magic that exists in the lives of the characters.

I definitely recommend this book to girls who are having trouble making friends in school,like me it gave me some really helpful tips!!! And I think that it'll be helpful to you guys to!!😇 and it helped me so much!!! 😏😅🙏 so pls read this trust me it will change your whole communicating life!!!

This is an intriguing story about a girl whose mother has cancer and whose father is no longer around. Lizzie often spends summers with her favorite uncle in his cabin in a wooded area of Pennsylvania, and it's here she chooses to stay while her mother undergoes treatment. What begins as a typical summer, soon takes an unexpected turn. A local prison break, the kidnapping of a friend, and Lizzie's desire to help lead to mistakes with dire consequences and questioned loyalties.
