Audacity
By Melanie Crowder
star student
The author (Melanie Crowder) makes me feel like I'm in the story because Melanie Crowder uses awesome words and makes the story so intense. For example, in the story its says "We travel half way the world and still my dreams are impossible." and she's one of my favorite authors and in every single part i could feel her same pain and happiness. It's a really good book I love it.
Girls Who Rocked the World: Heroines from Joan of Arc to Mother Teresa
By Michelle Roehm McCann, Amelie Welden
when my mom got it I thought I would not like it but when I read it I loved it! I brought it everywhere I went. I read so much on the weekends. It was really interesting to learn how girls can change the world in so many
Chasing King's Killer: The Hunt for Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Assassin
By James L. Swanson
I really, really, really loved this book, and I usually don't like non-fiction, biographies, or any genre of that sort. This book took me by surprise. Here I am finding this book in the library and picking it up. Who knew I would actually fall in love with it? It's gripping. The author draws you in with the events and actions. He spins the words and makes a woven masterpiece. The suspense and mystery scenes were really engaging, the story line so intense. I found myself learning new things about Martin Luther King Jr. And can I just say how much I loved how the author spelled out most of MLKJ's life? This book wasn't just about the murder of MLKJ, it was about how he lead marches and changed America. Another thing that I liked is how the author wrote the scenes leading up to the murder. It seemed a lot like the show on National Geographic, Seconds from Disaster. It showed where James Earl Ray stood and how he shot MLKJ. I found that incredibly interesting. Oh, and I just loved how the author showed how the FBI and police tracked Ray and how he ran away. Long story short, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a nice suspense/mystery-nonfiction-biography-type book.
Shug (Thorndike Literacy Bridge Young Adult)
By Jenny Han
I really, really (repeat for at least 100 times) love this book. It is about a girl with a neighbor who's been her best friend all throughout life, but the neighbor is a boy. The girl starts falling for the boy while at the same time he starts falling apart from her and starts hanging out more with his "guy" friends. The girl has middle school problems and there's a dance, with one boy another boy... Get the book to find out more!
A Nest for Celeste: A Story About Art, Inspiration, and the Meaning of Home
By Henry Cole
This book is from the point of view from a mouse named Celeste. Celeste is trying to find a new home. Along the way Celeste makes many new friends and an enemy. In the end Celeste finally finds a home. Overall this book is alright and full of wonderful pencil sketches on almost every page.
Ninth Grade Slays (Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, Book 2)
By Heather Brewer
Vladimir Tod is back and he is now in Ninth grade and it is gonna be an interesting year. . . Bill & Ton are still total jerks/ Bullies (Which I so don't get vlad is totally awesome.). Henry is still his best friend and he is now a "Drudge" (meaning basically Vlad can control Henry easy, read the first book) Henrys cousin Joss is coming to stay (🤔) for awhile. He and Vlad hit it of pretty good and easily become friends. Oh and can't forget about about the photographer of the school newspaper notices Vlads purple shine in his eyes and becomes a little suspicious/scared. Otis, Vlads Uncle, invites him to come to Siberia and train and connects with other vampires. And with all this happening can Vlad recognize the vampire slayer that's hunting or why he is hunting him or even find out who hired the slayer? Absolutely Amazing Book! I couldn't stop reading, I love the mix of humor and the characters are so life-like. Anyways thanks for reading - Ajg15's Reviews 🤓✍
