Anne of Green Gables

By L. M. Montgomery

If you're looking for a story about a bright, spirited orphan girl who finds love and adventure, then look no further. Anne will capture your heart and never let go. Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert wanted a boy from the orphanage to help with the farmwork. When Matthew goes to the train station to pick him up, he only finds Anne Shirley, a talkative, redheaded girl with a bright imagination and a big heart. A search for answers tells the Cuthberts that someone told Mrs. Spencer the Cuthberts wanted a girl. Marilla thinks of sending Anne back to the orphanage, but Matthew persuades Marilla to open up her heart to the girl. Marilla eventually decides to keep Anne, and so Anne's adventures full of humor and heart begin. From making a friend, Diana Barry, to making enemies, Gilbert Blythe and Josie Pye, to naming everyday things you'd see like a lake, or a flower tree, Anne will find something to dream about. Clementine and the Family Meeting (Clementine (Hardcover))

By Sara Pennypacker

I love this book.I has a dash of humor and it is very inspiring.Clementine is having a nervous breakdown.HER FAMILY MEETING SIGN IS UP!She wondering if is eating to much candy or she is needs more manners and so on,so on.But instead her mom is pregnant and don't want a new baby. She thinks 4 people is a perfect number not 5 people. But she realizes that having a new baby is a good thing and life isn't always perfect. You will chuckle to Clementine's unique perspective on the age old issue of sibling rivalry.HOPE YOU LOVE THIS BOOK!Sara Pennypacker is a great author who wrote this book. This book is so amazing I kept reading it.Some parts were so funny I feel of my chair.

The World Ends in April

The World Ends in April

By Stacy McAnulty

The World Ends in April is an AWESOME book! It also helps that it is written by my favorite author, Stacy McAnulty. It is about a girl named Eleanor Dross, who only has one friend- Mack. Mack is a boy who is blind. Ele’s grandpa is a preppier. A preppier is someone who prepares for the end of the world. He has been preparing Ele and her siblings for the end of the world since they could walk. So when he heard that Ele found a website predicting the end of the world, he got real excited. Ele’s dad doesn’t really like that their grandpa takes them out of the house to practice for an alien invasion. Ele plans not to tell anyone about the end of the world, (after all, what friends will she save?) but Mack tells everyone that will listen. Ele starts a club called the Nature Club, but it is really a survival club. A girl named Londyn joins the club, (a girl who Ele claims she tried to take her head off with a basketball) and makes Ele use a water purifier and drink toilet water. If you want to know what happens in Ele’s last couple months until TEOTWAWKI (the end of the world as we know it) read the book. I think you will like this book if you liked The Miscalculations of Lighting Girl.

Short

Short

By Holly Goldberg Sloan

I really thought this was a barrier breaking book. It helped me to see people who are short in a better light. It helped me realize the world from a different point of view! In the book Short, a girl named Julia Marks wants to have a summer of just writing letters to her friends and relaxing. But this is dream is crushed, because she has to try out for a university performance, and she makes it! This turns out to be a problem early, but she meets new friends along the way, like a artistic neighbor named Mrs. Chang, and she starts to enjoy and have pride in the performance! This book helped me learn to see the world in a optimistic point of view. An example of this was when Julia met Olive, an adult who was short. Olive knew that people would look at her often, but she let it go, and didn't get angry! I would definitely recommend this book to my friends, because I feel that it would inspire them, no matter how tall or short they are. Because of the inspiration I felt when reading this book, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I think that this book is a very good book. I would recommend this book to someone that wants to learn about raceism . This book is kind of like a history book about when raceism was so so so popular. The problem is how white folk are trying to get most of the black people killed. It is kind of teaching you in part of the book when money was scarce, it is trying to teach you not to waste your money that you might need it but you won't have any. I think that this book is great and you should read it it you if you want to know about raceism.
