Kids Books - Nature

This is a nice book that mentions lots of facts about the Earth in a fun and descriptive way. It makes the readers want to read the book because they literally think that Earth is a person who is talking to you in a friendly way. It is hard to make planets appear human, but Stacy McAnutly simply did it.

This book was pretty good. It puts together 2 animals that are alike in some way, and sees which one is stronger, faster, tougher, etc. It could have been better, but I recommend.

This was an interesting story about a young girl in the early 1900's who is learning her place in the world. In this story Calpurunia is the only girl in a family with six brothers. As she comes to understand her grandfather as a teacher, she also struggles with her mother. Her mother wants her to become a domesticated wife, who knows how to sew, cook, knit, etc. But Calpurinia is not interested in these things at all. She just wants to study science and nature with her grandfather, and maybe become a scientist herself, not a housewife. As Calpurnia tries to keep her family together she learns lessons of trust and self-confidence, and being who you really are inside. I recommend this book to older people, however there aren't any action scenes, and some people may become bored with the storyline if they do not enjoy this type of book, setting in the past.

Did you know that on May 2014 ,a large group of people dressed as scary zombies ,walked (very slowly) through the streets of London ,England .the zombie walk ,an event that first started the the U.S. ,now takes place every year in city's all of the world!that is crazy I would love you take place in that!I loved this book so much !such great facts😄 I recommend to all ages and I rate this book 4/5 stars 😁 😁 - Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

This is a pretty good book! When Lily's dad goes to climb his favorite mountain Lily can't wait for him to get home but when she answers the phone expecting to hear her dad's voice she can't believe what she really hears! Her dad is dead but no she won't believe it, she convinces her mom to let her and her older sister Sophie to go camping on the mountain with a plan in mind! She is going to find her father but she has to break the news to her sister!

It catches the readers attention and makes them feel like the Moon is a person who is talking to you in a friendly way. It makes stars and the Moon appear human, but Stacy McAnutly wrote in such a way that I actually believed that the moon was a person talking to me.

I completly agree with Mrs. Jagielski's comment on the book. A very emotional book. I cried a few times, like when he jumped out of the car to get Bandit, when the flood started, when Bandit almost died of heatstroke, and when Bandit got shot. But it is still an awesome book and i think that everyone should read it. BTW I love dogs thats why I cried a lot for Bandit :'(

It puts a lot of effort to make stars or the Sun appear human, but Stacy McAnutly has absolutely nailed it.

This is an adorable picture books by the cartoonist Patrick McDonnell about young Jane Goodal and her monkey stuffed animal. It tells how Jane was inspired by her monkey and wanted to do something to protect it's real life friends, the gorrillas. I just loved reading this book! I was great :)
