Alien Superstar (Book #1)
By Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver
Henry Winkler does it again with a whole new series! He is the author of the Hank Zipzer books, which are must-reads for those in grades 3-5. This book can be for all ages. I really loved this book, and I thank DOGO for giving it to me for Summer Reading! This book starts off with an alien, who goes by the name Buddy C. Burger after he escapes war and lands on Earth in Hollywood! To everyone else, Buddy's just another person dressed up in a cool alien costume, while in Buddy's mind, he needs to create an alternate human identity so no one figures out he's an alien! He quickly comes up with an old superstar from hundreds of years ago, and soon he gets a part in a film! But with all the things he has to do, he forgets that he needs a way to get food for his alien body, and only when he remembers, something terrible goes wrong... Will Buddy's identity be revealed? Read on to find out! I highly recommended this book to all ages!
The Fire Keeper (A Storm Runner Novel, Book 2)
By J.C. Cervantes
Zane Obispo is now on a magical island, and it is supposed to protect him from the gods, but its actually a trap.! One day a girl shows up because she read the book that Zane wrote. They find out that they now must save the other godborns and Zane's dad! Zane and friends go through many battles, and do the unexpected. I connected to this book because I related to Zane because I know what it's like when you do something that you think is good but ends up being bad. I give this book 4 stars because I like the book because it has a good plot and character development.

The Golden Compass / Northern Lights (His Dark Materials, Book 1)
By Philip Pullman
The Golden Compass is more than just a book to read; it actually MEANS something. I got it for Christmas and it is so good! It can be very confusing and hard to read, but it is totally worth it. The characters are wonderful (Everyone has to love Lyra because she is stubborn, kind, and strong, and everyone has to love Will because he's the same as Lyra, but original, too), and everything else about it. I loved it, and the rest of the series!

The Minpins
By Roald Dahl
This story is about a courageous boy that went to The Forest of Sin and there he found a monster with black hairy legs ,an enormous head and sharp teeth. The monster loved to eat humans so the boy had to escape. How was the boy called? And the monster? What did the boy find? How does to boy escape? Does he clim? Or walk? Or run? Or jump? I enjoyed this book because I loved what the boy found and how the boy saved what he found. My favorite part was when the boy saves what he found the part that he escapes from the monster. I recommend this book to people that love adventures and are 6 years old or more. ¡¡I recommend it!!
