Summer Boys #1

Summer Boys #1

By Hailey Abbott

I'm almost done with this book, and it is great! it features a Drama-filled summer of teens, trying to find what they are in this world, and where they stand based on relationships. Single, just friends, jealous, crushing, cheating, player, summer boy, long-distance. Whatever it may be, and sort out tangled and confused feelings.

Nerd Camp

Nerd Camp

By Elissa Brent Weissman

This book is the first book in the series Nerd Camp. Gabe is meeting his new stepbrother, Zack. Zack is so cool and Gabe wants to be just like him, so he only tells him that he is going away to sleep away camp. He goes there, and makes a list about what he can tell Zack and what he can't. He makes new friends, has fun, and certainly enjoys camp. He writes back and forth with his stepbrother, telling him only the coo stuff. In the end, Gabe learns that to be cool, you just have to be you. That is what I learned from reading this book and I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good book.

Otis Dooda: Strange but True (Otis Dooda Series)

Otis Dooda: Strange but True (Otis Dooda Series)

By Ellen Potter

This book was definetly for someone youger than me. I recommed this book to kids who like silly adventures. Otis Dooda is always getting called funny names. In the book he get's cursed, finds an undercover pony, has a pet rat named Smoochie, annoying siblings, farting, elbow licking, and more! It is a great book if you want to laugh.

Vanishing Girls

Vanishing Girls

By Lauren Oliver

"Vanishing Girls" was amazing! The descriptions of both characters and the places and things they saw were so realistic, I could honestly see real people living the lives Nick and Dara did, messing up the same rooms, volunteering at the same rundown amusement parks, driving in the same average-looking cars, feeling the same ways about the same things. Everything felt so relatable. I can honestly say I've seen places similar to what author Lauren Oliver described. But then, the sisters' lives upended and became a whole lot crazier then anyone's I know. The mini twists were shocking and the final one was nothing I ever saw coming. Even that single jaw-dropper is worth the read! Loved this book!

War with Grandpa

War with Grandpa

By Robert Kimmel Smith

Although this book is full of humor, I didn't think it was all that interesting. In my opinion, a book should have more than one problem and have adventure or other categories. This book just explains a fight a Grandpa and grandson had each each other. A few hilarious parts, are when Peter { the grandson } steals his grandpa's false teeth. That is a devious plan. I would recommend this to beginning readers who are just starting to read chapter books and readers who like to read stories with only one category like humor or adventure. These are my thoughts about the selection "The War With Grandpa".

Luciana: Out of This World (American Girl: Girl of the Year 2018, Book 3)

By Erin Teagan

I JUST finished the book. It is by far the most interesting of the 3 Luciana books. It talks about how she and Clair survive earthquakes, fires, and finally learn how to be friends.

Ballpark Mysteries #10: The Rookie Blue Jay

Ballpark Mysteries #10: The Rookie Blue Jay

By David A. Kelly

Book Review by Charlie Weasley - If you like mysteries and baseball, you’ll love this book. It’s called Rookie Blue Jay. The author is David A. Kelly. It is part of a series. It is book 10 of the series. Here’s what happens. There are 2 cousins named Mike and Kate and they are really good at solving mysteries. There is a baseball player named Dusty. Based on the title, do you think that Dusty is a senior (4 years of playing), junior (3 years of playing), sophomore (2 years of playing), or rookie (one year of playing)? If you said rookie, then you’re correct. Anyway, the mystery is that there are lights in the bullpen. What are they? I can’t tell you! Read to find out what happens. I give this book 5 stars because a player won ‘Rookie of the Year.’ It mentioned ghost lights and that was cool. I like the whole series. I recommend this from 6-9 year olds.

Violet Ink

Violet Ink

By Rebecca Westcott

It wasn't fabulous, if you know what I mean, but it was amusing to read and yeah, not a must read r anything. I just wanted to say that I read it. Oh and also, this book was really popular in the bookshops. Seriously, though it isn't as good as the reviewers make out.
