Encyclopedia Horrifica: The Terrifying TRUTH! About Vampires, Ghosts, Monsters, and More

Encyclopedia Horrifica: The Terrifying TRUTH! About Vampires, Ghosts, Monsters, and More

By Joshua Gee

I loved this book! It was scary, but the writing style added a fun aspect to it, so that you wouldn't be too afraid when you finished. There was a part where, on Friday the 13th, the writer goes out with his shirt buttoned unevenly, walked under a ladder, crossed paths with a black cat, spilled salt, and so on to see if anything would happen! I won this book in a summer reading program at my local library, and I have been reading and re-reading it. Very fun and cool. :)

First Ada has to dig in the trash for stuff to make money. It is a vary good book and a vary hart warming story. My favorite character is Ada because she is very kind, brave, caring, awesome, and fun. At the end of the story Ada performs for a big crowd. If you like happy and sad books well Ada’s violin has both of them in one. I love Ada’s violin and I think you will to. I recommend this book for you.

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry: 40th Anniversary Special Edition

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry: 40th Anniversary Special Edition

By Mildred D. Taylor

At firs this book was boring until the middle.n Just like always at that point the story picks up and gets good. The story was good since I feel the author truly expressed the sadness they felt and how outrageous the segregation was. It made me better understand the concept of the struggle between the whites and the blacks at that time. The story builds up to a fiery climax that was just astonishing. A lot of people complain about the use of a bad word but with out it you wouldn't truly feel the horror they felt long ago
