Lang Lang: Playing with Flying Keys

Lang Lang: Playing with Flying Keys

undefined

This book "Lang Lang Playing With Flying Keys" is written by Lang Lang, a famous pianist, Micheal French, who have already published twenty books, and Danlel Barenboim ,who takes the picture of this book. This is a 208 pages biography book, written about a famous pianist who have hardworking to become a world famous pianist. But on the way to be famous, there are still a lot of unhappy stuff like Lang Lang is very angry about his dad, by making him doing the stuff that he didn't want to do and his dad didn't want him to play toys. But Lang Lang is still getting in to playing piano. The main lesson Lang Lang learned is that don't ever give up on the thing that are hard or maybe you can't get done so easy because if not then it will be more harder than it is before. For example, when Lang Lang stop playing just because his dad is being mean to him so Lang Lang just stop playing. After three mouth when he start playing again, he almost for got all the thing he learned. So that's the most important thing he learned. I would recommend this book because first this book is good, it help more people knowing that being a superstar is not a easy thing, they have to be hardworking to became a superstar and don't give up on some thing that is hard. And the one unanswered question to Lang Lang is "if your dad didn't make you play piano then what are you going to do, still playing piano or not?"

Chasing King's Killer: The Hunt for Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Assassin

Chasing King's Killer: The Hunt for Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Assassin

By James L. Swanson

I really, really, really loved this book, and I usually don't like non-fiction, biographies, or any genre of that sort. This book took me by surprise. Here I am finding this book in the library and picking it up. Who knew I would actually fall in love with it? It's gripping. The author draws you in with the events and actions. He spins the words and makes a woven masterpiece. The suspense and mystery scenes were really engaging, the story line so intense. I found myself learning new things about Martin Luther King Jr. And can I just say how much I loved how the author spelled out most of MLKJ's life? This book wasn't just about the murder of MLKJ, it was about how he lead marches and changed America. Another thing that I liked is how the author wrote the scenes leading up to the murder. It seemed a lot like the show on National Geographic, Seconds from Disaster. It showed where James Earl Ray stood and how he shot MLKJ. I found that incredibly interesting. Oh, and I just loved how the author showed how the FBI and police tracked Ray and how he ran away. Long story short, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a nice suspense/mystery-nonfiction-biography-type book.

Buddy

Buddy

By M.H. Herlong

This book is much more real life and relatable than any other dog book. In my book Buddy a kid named Lil’T who already has a rough life, goes through some more rough time when he decides to get a dog of his own. The dog's name is Buddy. This book takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. A conflict that he faces is Hurricane Katrina and having to leave his dog behind. When he goes back after the hurricane Buddy is missing! Lil'T really wants to go and look for Buddy but his family thinks that they should first find shelter and a place to live. In this book the antagonist is definitely the hurricane but also Lil'Ts family keeps switching between protagonist and antagonist from different situations. The protagonists are Lil'T and Buddy. Another conflict is that Lil'T has to make a life changing decision for both him and Buddy. Overall I really liked and enjoyed this book. I have read it so many times because of how much I enjoy the story. I really recommend this book and it is a great free read and independent book to enjoy.
