This is a wonderful book about snakes and why you shouldn't be afraid of them and their cool other sense that all snakes have and one only pit vipers have.

Warriors: A Vision of Shadows #5: River of Fire

Warriors: A Vision of Shadows #5: River of Fire

By Erin Hunter

Deep in the forest, a gang of strange mysterious feral cats dwells. In ENGLAND. That fact was established in the first book. After 28 books a lot of stuff has happened. Most importantly, Fierestar, the main character in the first arc thingy, has DIED. Now the books focus on three new cats: Violetshine, Twigpaw, and Alderheart. Anyway, this is book 5. So Shadowclan, one of the main groups of cats, has disbanded due to not having enough cats and OTHER REASONS. Now there are only three clans because RiverClan, another group, is closing its borders due to rebuilding. And Alderheart is very apoplectic. Google it. He thinks StarClan does not want that and they don't. Meanwhile, Twigpaw decided to leave SkyClan in the last book and recently went to ThunderClan, which is Alderheart's clan. And her sister Violetshine is doing stuff in SkyClan with her friend Tree. So one day Twigpaw goes to the Moonpool, which is where all the medicine cats, who are sort of like Shamans, go to, and sees that a camp has burned down! DISASTER IS COMING. Oh no. Every clan needs to work together, but how is that possible with just three clans? The book was a very enjoyable read, and it was really interesting, but the plot was strange. I could not keep track of IT. But overall, nice book.

Lea Dives In (American Girl Today)

Lea Dives In (American Girl Today)

By Lisa Yee

Lea Clark is looking forward to seeing her brother after 3 years- Zac had been to college in Brazil! But the reunion isn't picture perfect. Zac is still treating Lea like a little kid, and they aren't getting along very well. Lea goes to the beach with her family-- nothing to be scared about, right? But after a bad incident with a big, salty wave, Lea is scared of swimming in the ocean. She finds she enjoys taking pictures of the water more than actually being in it! She meets a great new friend named Camila who attempts to help Lea get over her fear of the ocean. One day Lea goes hiking with Zac and her dad, and trouble strikes. Can Lea get over her fear of the ocean and prove to Zac she's more mature? I loved this book!! Even though it was more aimed at younger kids than 12-year-olds like me, I still loved the descriptive nature of this book as I took a trip with Lea to Brazil, a country of culture and fun!

After they make sure the workers are okay, they find the thing that matches the riddle. It was a panda bread. It is cooked with love and hard as a rock. I loved this book because it is full of excitement and lots of adventures. It also teaches us lessons of hope and caring for others in danger, even if the condition is awful. Brave (American Dog)

Brave (American Dog)

By Jennifer Li Shotz

Okay, I got to be honest, when I first got this book, I didn't think it would be worth the read, but the author showed me that you have to try something to see if you will like it. I need up really liking this book. It is so sweet and I recommend it for ages 8-12. Brave has been stranded alone behind a dumpster, and when a young boy names Dylan shows up, it changes his life forever. Dylan has always loved dogs, and when he finds Brave, his instinct was to take him home. Of course, his mom didn't think it was a good idea to keep him at all when Brave started to mess up the house. Now Dylan has to find a way to train Brave in a few weeks if he wants to keep him, or Brave will go to a dog shelter. It also turns out that Brave is afraid of loud noises, which makes it hard to train him. Even with all that, Dylan has some social problems too. His dad is away and he misses him very much, and his best friend is not so close to him anymore. Will Dylan find a way to renew his friendship with his friend, all while training Brave, to, well, be brave? Friendships are tested, and when happens, Dylan must make a choice: Friends, or Dog? Read this book to find out more about Brave and his destiny!

The Wainscott Weasel

The Wainscott Weasel

By Tor Seidler

I read this book a long time ago, and I remember it being enchanting, and a book that somewhat resembled a mix of two of my favorite writers, Katherine Applegate, and Kate DiCamillo. You should really read it!

The Wolf Wilder

The Wolf Wilder

By Katherine Rundell

THE WOLF WILDER is an exciting and mysterious account of how friends can help you overcome CHALLENGES. It tells the story of 12-year-old Feo, who lives in the 1910s in snowy Russia. She lives in the woods with her mother Marina, and they rewild pet WOLVES. Which is a very nice occupation. The book begins with some soldiers barging into the hut and demanding 3 trillion dollars because one of their wilded wolves killed an elk. They confiscate Feo's golden necklace and issue a stern warning: If they ever find out that they have been wilding wolves again, there will be SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. But they do it anyway, because why not? Then they get caught and Marina is sent to jail. So, Feo and her wolf friends, along with a human named Ilya, set out to rescue her mother and fight General Rakov, the cruel commander of the Russian Army who is EVIL. This book was very funny, especially about wolves eating toes. And it had a lot of action in it too! It also teaches about the importance of bravery and WOLVES. I recommend it to people who like fast-paced stories with animals in them.
