have not read this book but it sounds good

While reading a book Annaconda read about the All Seeing Eye. She asked all the staff members she could question. Later on Annaconda asked Petula, her apprentice, to pretend to be friends with Warren. Petula pretended to agree to do that. Petula actually made friends with Warren and with the help of Mr. Friggs (the librarian of the hotel library) the three of them went to find the All Seeing Eye before Annaconda and her sisters did. Also Warren thinks he will find the Eye before Annaconda Isosceles and Scalene. In the library Warren, Petula and Mr. Friggs found a book the helps them find the Eye. Warren, Petula and Mr. Friggs found the Eye under the hotel. Annaconda found the Eye after Warren, Petula and Mr. Friggs does. When Annaconda finds out that Petula had betrayed her, Annaconda got really mad. She tried to destroy everyone with a potion but Warren snatched it out of her hands. Also Warren finds a room that seems like a control room. From the same book it said that the hotel could walk on two large metal legs like a human.

Thanks for your wonderful review, selina!

The book is about a kind toad-faced orphan boy who inherited the family hotel, but his aunt Anaconda is very mean. However, his aunt has the "nice around parents, and mean around children" kind of character. I recommend this book to readers who like to read mystery.

Thanks for sharing your review, coolnicki477!

This was a great read, and I definitely recommend it to people who like a tad bit of mystery and a bit of action. Warren is a descendent of many Warrens, and as you can tell by the title, he is the 13th in his line. He is currently living with his Uncle in a hotel, and his uncle is about to marry a wife, Warren's aunt. She seems to be good at first, but after Warren's uncle leaves, she's not as she seems. Warren's family has a hidden treasure and Warren and his aunt are both on the look for it. But when things get a bit too harsh with Warren and his aunt, Warren sets out to find the treasure by himself. But what will happen to Warren? Read this nail-biting novel to find out! I would like to thank DOGObooks for supplying this book in exchange for this review.

Thanks for the great review, ocelot!

"Welcome to the Warren Hotel.." Prepare to enter the secluded world of Warren the 13th, an odd-looking errand boy at the Warren Hotel. Warren can remember much better days at the Warren Hotel - generations and generations of Warrens took care of the hotel, with guests coming all over the world to stay at the famous hotel. But when Warren's father, Warren the 12th, unfortunately passed away, Warren's uncle Rupert inherited the hotel. Needless to say, things went downhill fast after that, and Warren's days became a living nightmare - especially because of Uncle Rupert's wife, Aunt Annaconda. Even though Aunt Annaconda acts lovey-dovey and perfectly sweet in front of Uncle Rupert, Warren knows the real reason she's here - she wants to find an old myth, the All-Seeing Eye, which is rumoured to be hidden somewhere in the hotel. Warren the 13th has been living a horrible life for twelve years.. but that possibly might change when the first guest in years stays at the hotel! It's a mysterious man covered in gauze, coats, and hats. But when Warren gets sent to the hotel hedge mazes as a punishment, he discovers Warren the 2nd's diary.. which is first of the many clues Warren discovers as he realizes that the All-Seeing Eye has the immense power to destroy the hotel.. or maybe even save it? But what Warren doesn't know that Aunt Annaconda is a very wicked witch, and is set on destroying the hotel and him along with it. Will Warren find the most unlikely allies and have a great adventure to save the hotel, or will he go down as only a pawn in Aunt Annaconda's master plan? I can't deny it - when I first picked up this book, I did not know what to expect. But when I finally decided to open it, I was transported into a world.. like ours, but in another dimension, almost. This book is almost like a manuscript straight out of someone's imagination, with all those fantastical creatures roaming around and secrets around every page! Warren the 13th and the All-Seeing Eye is an incredibly, incredibly creative book - it keeps you on your toes on every page because of the mystery surrounding everything! This book is delightful and charming, and when you think of those words, I think you think of a book that's sort of lightweight, but this book has deeper elements. It has horror, a bit of mystery, betrayal, and things that seem to "highlight" the book and give it depth. Another thing that surprised me was that I thought it was going to be strictly fantasy based on the cover, but it surprised me! It was a blend with nearly all of the genres - even romance (very, very, very corny romance) between Annaconda and Rupert! Even though this is aimed at children, I think all readers can enjoy this amazing read.. And I almost forgot to mention that there is a character named Sketchy, and he is such a sweetheart!

great review felicisowl! all your reviews of books are really well thought about and i agree with mostly everything you say!!

Wow, thank you so much ravermccare23! It's really great to find someone who agrees with my opinion and your kind words mean a lot to me - again, thank you so much!

Thank you for your in-depth review, felicisowl! I'm happy you liked it! :)

This book was wonderfully written and the art style was absolutely stunning. Warren, a twelve year old who has descended from multiple Warrens (he's the 13th,) lives in a hotel with his Uncle Rupert after his father passed away. His uncle has a new, seemingly kind wife, Aunt Annaconda. But she's more than just a first glance. Warren's family has hidden the All-Seeing Eye, and Aunt Annaconda is after it. While the perfect wife around Warren's uncle, she's horrible and cruel to Warren. Warren eventually can't put up with her anymore, and escapes to find the treasure by himself. This book is full of action, and cliffhangers at each chapter. It was a refreshing read from your standard "Stepmother is evil but nice around the father" story line. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the review and recommendation, pipermc11!

This was an awesome book! It begins with Warren, a strange looking 12 year old boy with crooked teeth. He comes from a long line of other Warrens [it's a family name] but this Warren, Warren the 13th probably has the most boring and then exciting life of them all. I don't want to tell you the whole story so I'll give you a summary. Warren is a waiter, groundskeeper, errand boy and valet at his family's old mysterious hotel. Then his father passes away and his uncle takes over with his new creepy wife and everything gets pretty strange. Aunt Annaconda is digging around for an All-Seeing Eye and acting totally insane and then all lovey dovey around his uncle. Then Warren goes on his own adventure trying to find the secret treasure all the way to the end. There are amazing pictures, riddles and secret codes on almost every page. I'd recommend this book to anybody. Warren the 13th was crazy, very exciting and action packed. Read the book to find out the whole story!

Thanks for the awesome review, peakreader!

This was a fantastic book, that was full of mystery and adventure. I really liked the triple crossing with the perfumierer's daughter and Aunt Anaconda, that was really suprising. Warren a boy with a toad-like face discovers the secret of his ancestors hotel and must beat his aunt (the witch) to it!
