The City of Ember written by Jeanne DuPrau is a mystery the whole way through. You never know what happens because it always ends with a mystery. I love how they continue a mystery throughout the whole series. I also love how the main characters are by themselves the whole time. It also shows the power of friendship. Lina and Doon are the main characters in The City of Ember. Lina is the more adventurous one but still cares about her family such as her grandmother and little sister. But unlike Doon she doesn't really need a plan to do things. Doon on the other hand is more cautious and loves his family such as his dad. He also plans things before he does them. So, what will happen to Lina and Doon if they are such opposites? Will they make it out of Ember? Who found the storage room before them? Do you want the answer to any of these questions? Do you like a good mystery? If the answer to any of these questions is yes you should read The City of Ember.

It is the best book because its an under ground city and the power is running out and the three kids get out alive

the city of ember is about kids who try to find a way out of ember, they find a way out of ember and find the true story and another world

This is a very good book. Its about a town called Ember. The only light in ember comes from lightbulbs powered by the generator. But the lights are going out. Is there a way to save Ember or will it be to late and Ember will end up in darkness.

I think The City Of Ember is a pretty good book. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars. It's about a girl named Lina and a boy named Doon. And one day at school they all got jobs. Doon was messenger and Lina had to work in the pipeworks. They both switched there jobs. So Doon had to work in the pipeworks. One day when he was down in the pipeworks he discovered a door. They didn't know what it led to. On the other hand Lina was delivering messages, she had to deliver one to the mayor. It was "Dilivery at eight from Looper." They end up figuring out what was behind the door and who was behind it. Read the book to figure out do they ever escape out of Ember and how. And who was the guy stealing all the food.

I really recommend this book it has a lot of suspense that makes you want to read more. Lina discovers a message that has been chewed by her little sister Poppy. When she looks at the message she sees some words that make her think the way out. She and her friend Doon Harrow are on a mission to get the people of Ember and themselves out. Will they do it? Will they find the way out? Read The City Of Ember by Jeanne Duprau to find out if you like it there are other books in the series.
