George O'Connor is a Greek mythology buff and a classic superhero comics fan, and he's out to remind us how much our pantheon of superheroes (Superman, Batman, the X-Men, etc) owes to mankind's ORIGINAL superheroes: the Greek pantheon.

In OLYMPIANS, O'Connor draws from primary documents to reconstruct and retell classic Greek myths. But these stories aren't sedate, scholarly works. They're action-packed, fast-paced, high-drama adventures, with monsters, romance, and not a few huge explosions. O'Connor's vibrant, kinetic art brings ancient tales to undeniable life, in a perfect fusion of super-hero aesthetics and ancient Greek mythology.

Volume 1 of OLYMPIANS, ZEUS: King OF THE GODS, introduces readers to the ruler of the Olympian Pantheon, telling his story from his boyhood to his ascendance to supreme power. This title has Common Core connections.

My brother got me this book from his school library and it is really cool. I really like learning about mythology especially the big important gods. This book tells the classic stories in a very exciting and modern way. My brother and I love the book.

This was a very interesting way to teach mythology. It is a graphic novel about how the world came about according to Greek myths. I think it was very interesting, and I recommend it to anyone who is studying mythology in school. Even outside of assignment, it is a fascinating read. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book was awesome.I love Greek mythology and Egyptain.Espically the Percy Jackson series. But this graphic novel told how it all came to be in Greek mythology.I recommend

I think that this book was OK. Of fourse the book was about how Gaea and Oranos got married and their children were The Titans, The Hundred Handed Ones, and some monsters. Then the Kronos killed Oranos and became lord of the sky. The gods were the next generation and so on. Also the grafics were not awesome but not bad.

my mom said there was more of these ina series. i thought it would be like harry potter or capt underpants but i ddint understand alot of this book. my mom said maybe i should wait and try again next summer like thats gonna make it better its not a pot of soup. i liked the monsters and the battles but there was too much gobbly in between

There us only one word to describe this book AMAZING! I love Greek mythology, so I might be biased, but this is an awesome graphic novel.s This book is full of action and keeps you entertained no matter what. 1000000/5 Stars! 😊 This book is that awesome!

Zeus: King of Gods is an amazing graphic novel about Zeus and how he rescued his brothers and sisters from his dad, Cronus, how he became ruler of the gods and also about all the Greek Gods and Goddesses. I recommend this book to any one who likes graphic novels, Greek gods and goddesses, and/or action. Some parts of the book were a bit confusing, but other than that, the book was excellent.

It was an action adventure. Zeus was the youngest of six siblings the other five had been swallowed by their father Kronos. Zeus had been spared since his mother Ria had dressed a rock in swaddling clothes and tricked Kronos. WHen Zeus was full grown he freed his brothers and sisters by giving Kronos a special herb that would make him very sick. They needed weapons for a war that was coming up with the titans. So they went down to Tartarus to free the cyclops's and hundred handers. The Cyclops's made the weapons and the hundred handers decided to help destroy the titans by throwing boulders

This is a good book if you want to learn about Greek mythology and Zeus. You should buy this book if you want to learn about Greek mythology.

For George O'Connor characters from Greek Myths are the real superheroes. I loved his book! It just changed my view of mythology, seeing how it is now packed with action.
