Trespassers will be turned to stone

For centuries, mystical creatures of all description were gathered to a hidden refuge called Fablehaven to prevent their extinction. The sanctuary is one of the last strongholds of true magic. Enchanting? Absolutely. Exciting? You bet. Safe? Well, actually, quite the opposite . . .

Kendra and her brother, Seth, have no idea their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven. Inside the gated woods, ancient laws keep order among greedy trolls, mischievous satyrs, plotting witches, spiteful imps, and jealous fairies. However, when the rules get broken, powerful forces of evil are unleashed, forcing Kendra and Seth to face the greatest challenge of their lives, to save their family, Fablehaven, and perhaps even the world.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if all the mystical creatures (good and bad) were living all around you; but you couldn't see them? This is exactly the storyline of Fablehaven by: Brandon Mull. This book takes you on a fantastic adventure, where fantasy meets reality and all unbelievable things become true. As Kendra (13) and Seth (11) go to their grandparents house, due to their parents going on a cruise. At first, the children are bored, but soon grew curious of the grandfather’s ginormous property. As adventurous Seth ventures out into the dangerous, where he isn't suppose to go, Kendra solves her grandfather's riddles, that he gave her to keep her occupied. The brother and sister soon recognize the riddles led to an even bigger surprise! When you drink a special milk you are able to see a more interesting world around you. Soon there are fairies, naiads, witches, imps and satyrs all for the grandchildren to see. Some are good, some are bad, “This is Hugo our golem, he does all our chores and grants every request we give him.” Hugo is a good creature who would never be mean. There are other creatures on the property who would kill in a second. According to the grandfather a bad time is to come to Fablehaven, the summer solstice and the Rise of the Evening Star. Not knowing what is to come next the children grow erie of the animals and the home. The genre of the book is fantasy, Brandon Mull writes other fantasy novels like the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th novels of this series. His writing falls under the same category as Percy Jackson, with the mystical creature living with the humans. The people who would like this book, are those who like mythology and fantasy. This is a amazing book that I would rate 5/5 stars. I really like the content and the way it was written.

It is all about magical beings and will take you into a world of fiction, magic, fairies and awesomeness! -stara

This is the best book and series I have ever read, and I read at least 3 books at a time!!

Fablehaven is a perfect book for read, I like the characters, Kendra and Seth. They are different for each other, Kendra is a great student, her HW always finish on time, but Seth is a best friend, he's grade always is not can tall good, and he is the one that has a lot of friends. And my favourite part is Kendra and Seth go to woods, the woods s very beautiful, I like the boathouse, it seems perfect. Thank you Brandon Mull for writing this book.
