I rate this book a 5 star because it is a great book that can make you happy and sad at times. It also is a great historical fiction book if you are writing a report I would recommend this book. I make only 1 connection and that was the start of the book. Phillip ,one of the main characters, he didn't like the plan that his parents made. Sometimes when my parents plan to go somewhere I try to tell them that I don't want to but they force me to go. A summary basically would be where Phillip lives was not safe and his parents wanted him to be safe. His parents decided that Phillip and his mom to go to Norfolk. They go on a ship and they get torpedoed, Phillip got knocked out and woke up to be on a raft with Timothy. They survived 4 days on the on the raft and while they were on the raft Phillip became blind. Timothy found a cay which they survived on for a while. A hurricane hit them and Timothy died which made Phillip alone. Phillip survived some how and somebody found him on the cay. They sent him back to his home and everything was back to normal.

I rate this book a 4 star because it is a historical fiction and if you want to learn about how this kid was in a 8 month rescue training. I didn't make a connection because I really never been on a ship I just really been on a boat. A summary is that while Daniel is on the ship he heard a boom which he found was a ship's canon. They decide to stay in the ship for its safety. They stay there for a while and they finally leave and they get back to land which where they are safe now.

I rate it a 5 star because it is a great book about a boy named Percy Jackson is in a nightmare which he doesn't know he is the son of a Poseidon. I made a connection by Percy having a really bad nightmare which has happened to me before. A summary is that Percy goes through his school and looks around. He found himself in a dodgeball game among him and his classmates against a gang of cannibal giants. He gets out and is still in the nightmare and ends the book.

I rate it a 4 star because it is a great, funny book if you wanna laugh I would recommend this book. I made one connection which is that Greg is having one of the worst days of his life, which I had sometimes. A summary is that Greg's friend left him because he found a girlfriend. He continues to have the worst days which led him to be friends with a weird kid. After a few weeks Greg and his old friend came back to be friends. Greg's friend came back because his girlfriend just wanted to make her ex jealous.

I rated this a 5 star because this is a great book to learn about the Nazi invasion. I didn't make a connection because it is more a book about the 1940's or somewhere near there. A summary is a remarkable memoir from Leon Leyson, one of the youngest children to survive the Holocaust on Oskar Schindler's list.
