Dear Editor, I have a request. I loved reading many of the new books on the reading list, but next year I would love to see more classics. Books like The Secret Garden, Little House in the Big Woods, Tom Sawyer, Jane Eyre, and on and on. Please give my suggestion some consideration and thank you for all your hard work. -olliebobAlmost 6 years agojeffdabossis now following callie_b.

The Loser’s Club is a pretty good book. It’s about Alec, a guy who loves reading books. He loves to read in class but isn’t allowed to (which is VERY relatable) and he is forced to quit. Instead, he decides to make The Loser’s Club, an after-school club for kids who want to read. People are either against it or for it, but everyone is curious about it. Slowly, people start joining, but Alec has problems of his own, like a rival and a girl. Not only does this book include over 50 book references, but it has a satisfying ending!Almost 6 years agojeffdaboss's book review was featured in Supergifted.
Supergifted is a pretty good book. It’s the sequel to Ungifted, which was an amazing book. This books focuses more on Noah’s life in average school. It proves to be very difficult for him to ace his classes, despite his 206 IQ, and is even advised to take remedial classes. Donovan is always there to help him, but he’s also always getting himself into insane situations. Just like in Ungifted, Donovan gets himself and Noah into a situation so crazy yet so possible you will be shocked. With various perspectives on the same events from interesting characters, this book is well-written. But before you read this, read Ungifted to get the full scoop!Almost 6 years agojeffdaboss added a book review.
Dork Diaries has a lot of acclaim and worship, but I didn’t feel like the first book was that good. I am a boy so I’m a little biased, but this book’s main character is a bratty, unrealistic character who thinks the whole world is against her. Nicki goes through a series of unfortunate events that makes her feel awful but never makes her humble. The author creates a character that is very shy but has very rude outlook on life. She can’t stand her rich and snobby nemesis while she expects everything to be handed to her on a silver platter. She is a character that the author wishes for everyone to like but makes her such a bratty character that I find is almost impossible to find relatable and someone I would want to associate with. Maybe the rest of the series makes her a better and nicer person, but I will never know.Almost 6 years ago
