Playing is serious business.
Welcome to Toy Academy: where toys learn to play. This is where action figures train to battle, stuffed animals study the art of the hug, and collectibles practice standing very, very still.
Though Grumbolt isn't really any of those things, he's determined to fit in. But when the Evil Toy Academy threatens to bring down his school, it's up to Grumbolt to go where no good toy has gone before and prove he's truly a great toy after all.
This laugh-out-loud chapter book by Brian Lynch, the writer of Minions and a writer of The Secret Life of Pets, is a classic in the making.

Haha this book looks cute and funny, and as much as Im not sure if I can find it at the library, it definitely looks interesting.

This book was pretty good. It is about this stuffed animal named Grumbolt. He is abandoned. He is also a different looking stuffed animal. He goes to this Toy Academy. The toy academy is where toys learn to play. During his semester, he meets many friends. He is in the stuffed animal category. He needs to learn how to play dress up, have tea parties, tell stories, etc. One day the principals arms get stolen ( he is a toy). His arms unlock every thing to the Toy Academy. Grumbolt wants to help. Everybody thinks that the Evil Toy Academy stole it. Grumbolt goes to spy on the school. He eventually gets caught. Later he is expelled. After that he comes back to the academy. They find who stole the arms. I felt that this book was okay. It felt very simple and there wasn't so much action in it. Even though I rate this book three stars, it was still pretty good. I think that you should still read this book.

When I started to read this book, I couldn't put it down.It was so funny and really cool its about, if you were a toy and you had a owner and the owner liked but then gets bored its OVER.Its kind of like toy story.

I thought this book was funny. I liked how the toy academy teaches toys how to play. I really liked Grumbolt and him trying to save the day.

this is a very funny book. Toy academy is a place where toys learn how to play. There is an evil villain which makes the story interesting. I high recommend this book to 1st-3rd graders because I think it is interesting for kids this age.

Grumbolt is a new toy and really excited. When he meets Omnibus Squared shows up and Grumbolt convinces him to take himself to Toy Academy where toys learn to play. On the ride there Grumbolt meets Micro a collectible still in her bag. When they arrive Grumbolt meets Commander Hedgehog the head of Toy Academy. But when Commander Hedgehog's arms are stolen it's up to Grumbolt to go where no toy has gone to get his arms back. Will he suceed? Or will they never seen again? Find out in Toy Academy: Some Assembly Required.

This book was awesome! It was really funny that there is a place where toys know how to play. I liked how it was written and the illustrations were great too. This book was about a toy named Grumbolt who comes to Toy Academy but he does not know what he is and when the commander's arms get stolen he goes to get them and goes to prove he is a great toy. It was so good that I really want to own it now. I would recommend this book for all readers and especially the readers who like toys.

I love this book because it shows through a to named Grumbolt that you can do what ever you put your mind to you can do

How do toys do their job? They go to toy academy of course! Grumbolt is a toy who has been thrown out, but gets a second chance when he learns about the toy academy. Nobody really knows what he is. He meets Ominibus Squared, who takes Grumbolt to Toy World. Here he plans to graduate Toy Academy, no matter how hard it is! The academy decides to classify him as a plush. However, the academy is harder than he thinks. Word gets out that Commander Hedgehog's arm is missing! Grumbolt is also expelled. The suspicion is placed on the Evil Toy Academy for the theft. Who is the thief, and what will happen to Grumbolt? Read the book to find out! I feel that this was an interesting idea. I enjoyed it, but some elements of the plot felt a little basic. There was still a good story line. This may be because it is a good read for 3rd-4th graders.
