From the author of So B. It, a super charming middle-grade Napoleon Dynamite with heart - the tale of a very average boy who's put in his school's spotlight when his averageness appeals to a TV show.

Oggie Cooder has a talent -- he can charve better than anyone else in Truman Elementary School. (Charving, for the uninitiated, is the carving of a piece of cheese with one's teeth.) Oggie doesn't think this is anything special -- but his whole school will soon be disagreeing with him. Because after he inadvertantly charves during a nationwide hunt for unusual talents, his charving puts him on the path to fame and forture. Suddenly, he's the star of the school . . . but he's not sure that he wants to shine that way.
This is Sarah Weeks at her best -- funny, clever, and kid-friendly.

I don't want to be rude but I really think oggie is a little bit dull.

At first, I did not realize how much this book can explain many emotions that can just BLAST out of this book! Sarah Weeks wrote SUCH a great book and I love how many writing/ reading techniques that she uses to make the reader enjoy the book. I certainly love this book and would recommend it to those who LOVE to do a kind of motion when they're happy and joyful, since weird CAN take over the world. P.S, I agree with Oggie that Charving is a really a great exercise to calm yourself out. And, 'prrrrrr-ip'ing is such a great way to show your happiness! Hope you all will enjoy this book and Merry X'mas!

So far its really good. Plot has both action and drama and it;s very cool. The way Oggie is makes me laugh.

Oggie cooder was a great book with quirky features and a great silly plot but then at some times it got a little predictable. but it really fit our fourth grade class. sometimes it went a little off topic. my favorite part about oggie cooder was when he did not take the offer to be famous because that really shows that he does not just want to be famous he wants to be a normal boy and he wants to keep his old life.
