This book is the first book of the Little house series, and tells the life of the Ingalls family: Laura, Mary, Cassy, Ma, and Pa that move to a large prairie from Wisconsin in the late 1800's. They don't have much money, important connections, or family there, but they pave out their pioneer lives on their own and are successful. This is an amazing book. Make sure to read the ones before it in this series so It makes sense.

It just isn't possible for me to be objective about the Little House books. They were THE go to books for me as a child, and the comfort books as a teenager. This one is certainly written at a younger level, but I still loved reading about all of the work it took to run a farm

(WARNING:SPOILER!)I am halfway thru, and so far it's good. It's a about Laura Ingalls Wilder moving west in the westward expansion. They have good times, bad times, almost ate times and in between times. And they almost lost jack😭😭😭! It may be a long book but it's good!
