I would love to read this book! I am very interested in the US's national parks, and, as of right now, have travelled to what I believe to be 5-6 parks. I hope to travel to more, including the Yellowstone National Park. I do the Junior Ranger activities for each park that I travel to, and I would greatly appreciate winning this book! Thank you!Over 8 years agorozeb added a news bookmark.

I also heard that this book is interesting for kids that like to computer code, and I am extremely interested in coding, and have taken several classes. Both my parents are coders, and one of them is a tech scientist.Over 8 years agoocelot added a new comment in
I have read Mr. Yang's other book, American Born Chinese, and I have researched it, and made discussion questions about the book, and I have just finished reading American Born Chinese for school. I would love to be able to read this book, and then show it to my english teacher in hope that she will allow us to read this book for school as well, and write an essay about it! I really hope I win this book, and it would really brighten my day! Thank you so much, DOGObooks!Over 8 years agoocelot added a new comment in
I also find this book to be very interesting, because I am intrigued with mystery and puzzles, and I think this book will be treasured in my hands, and I would read it over and over again.Over 8 years agoocelot added a book review.
This book is a really good book. The words are big, and younger kids would be able to read it, but I think this book is filled with fun facts and interesting stories about the Hindenburg, which makes it suitable for people of all ages. In this story, eleven-year old Hugo Ballard and his four-year old sister, Gertie, along with their parents, travel from Germany to New York City on the Hindenburg. Originally, their family is from Kenya, and their plan was to stay a year there. However, when Gertie catches Malaria, the Ballards are forced to leave Kenya and go to New York City to seek treatment for Gertie. Their family boards the zeppelin, hoping to get to New York City in time to treat Gertie. Along the way, Hugo meets a friendly girl named Marty. They become friends, but soon Hugo finds out that Marty's father is a spy, against the Nazis. What will happen to Marty's father? Will Gertie get better? Find out the answers by reading I Survived: The Hindenburg Disaster, 1937, by Lauren Tarshis! I would like to thank DOGObooks for sending me this book in exchange for a review.Over 8 years agoocelot has read this book.
