If you are looking for a happy, sunshine-y, romantic slow-dance-flower-petals-fall-from-the-sky-hand-holding-the-sun-smiles-upon-us type of book, then please, do not read it. But, if you would be ok with reading a rather depressing teen suicide book, where the recently deceased left a set of tapes for 'her reasons why' to listen to, read it.
This story is about three kids, they live in the future, and new laws have been passed. From the day you are born until you turn 13, nobody can harm you. But 13 to 18, your parents can decide to basically sell your body for transplants and such. This is called Unwinding.
This book is a perfect balance of humor, wonder, and inspiration. Matilda is a tiny, 6 or 7 year old girl genius stuck in 1st grade, whats more, she is completely unaware of it! Another reason form me to LOVE Roald Dahl.
