This is a heartwarming and magical book. It can change the way you view things. Mila Tang has immigrated from China with her Mom and Dad. They were living in extremely hard conditions when they happened to see jobs for a motel with free rent! Mr. Yao, he seemed friendly at first however as the days went on he revealed his cold self to Mila and her family. Starting first that he would not give money for cleaning the weeklies's rooms, though he never mentioned about it. All he said was 5 dollars for each room. However the Tangs have no choice but to work there. Mila attends the front desk, where scary things happen, she accidentally let's in a drunk guest and she gets hurt, mostly on the inside. Also the Tangs are hiding immigrants in a room and if that's discovered they are doomed. Mila finds out that Jason likes her and in the end learns that he is not that bad. Mila also has a best friend Lupe and she is from mexico. She gives Mila hope and friendship and is a true loyal friend. First they have a friendship made of lies then both realize that both of them have been telling lies! So, they confess and a true heart of friendship is born! On this rollar coaster are they going to survive the twists and turns? Or are they going to get drowned? This is a must read book for sure, awesome!!!!!!!

The School for Good and Evil was an absolute favorite for me. No wonder it is a New York Times best seller! It is a story of action, friendship and romance. The character's emotions jump out of the page and makes them relatable. You have go tot read this book.

applemangoliked a comment in The Next Great Paulie Fink.
This was an amazing book. Paulie Fink was some sort of a legend. Everyone in Caitlyn's class new him and considered him as a hero. He was an evil genius as teachers and people would say. Caitlyn has moved from New York to a small town where Mitchell School was standing. They have goats for science class and many "weird" things as Caitlyn considers. She has a hard stone in her heart. That's what she thinks. Because she was the one that was a bully, atleast to Anna Spang a classmate that she and her "friends" make fun of. To make the next great Paulie Fink, Caitlyn ends up being the judge of the next great Paulie Fink. They hold contests as each get's eliminated. However, there's a school on risk. Mitchel School is on the verge of shutting down because they don't have enough money. There's a big wow factor coming up! Turns out that Paulie Fink is one of those spoiled kids.........and the next great Paulie Fink is a...goat?

Serendipity's mom died, and around the time she did she starting noticing... horses. Not real ones, just statues. The horses had died out with the Gases. Now Serendipity lives in Lahn Dan, a walled in city made for no one to get out, with the mean Minster ruling over them. One day Serendipity finds a necklace hidden in a mattress from her mother. She finds out it has a map that could lead to horses in Wales. On her trip a friend The Professor helps her, and a boy named Tab with a dog named Mouse. With the Minster and his men after her, can Serendipity get out of Lahn Dan? Can she find horses or did they all die out? This was a very good book. And I recommend it for 5th to 8th graders,

Uncle Nick thinks he is dying, even though he just injured. His "Last wish" before he dies is to see his friends one time. So the Littles head out to find the Trash Tinies. This was also a fast read and a cute book. reccommended for 2th to 3rd graders
