Such an amazing book and Brian Selznick is an amazing writer as well. I love how the book is sort of played like a movie. Read all of Brian Selznick's other books as well!

This book was so touching and sad that I had to stop reading it for a while, but when I actually got through it, it was so well written and I loved it! I normally don't like historical fiction, but this time, it was enchanting, gripping, and captured the feelings of the time very well.

This book tells the stories of Loki, Frigga, and more Norse gods. The author really tells these types of tales well, and the book is enchanting, wonderful, and a great read. I love Norse Mythology, and if you do, this is a great book!

I loved this book! It was scary, but the writing style added a fun aspect to it, so that you wouldn't be too afraid when you finished. There was a part where, on Friday the 13th, the writer goes out with his shirt buttoned unevenly, walked under a ladder, crossed paths with a black cat, spilled salt, and so on to see if anything would happen! I won this book in a summer reading program at my local library, and I have been reading and re-reading it. Very fun and cool. :)

I love Lane Smith, and this is no exception. He is always funny, and even though I am in 6th grade, I still love Lane Smith's writing!

This is worth reading again and again. I loved Ivan as a character, and I also felt all of the characters' feelings and overall, the book was great. I would recommend this book to all readers ages 9 - 13.

How do you get the avatars like that? I would like to know, maybe they aren't available anymore? And I agree, I love the book too!

What age range would you put this under, anyone? I am thinking about reading this if it is at my library. It sounds interesting and I want to know what it would be classified under age or reading level. Thanks!

The illustration are in a different style, and I sort of agree with you on the people drawings, but overall I think the poems were pretty good. I respect your opinion fully, though.
