The book is amazing.

No one else has read this book either? :'( This is a good book! It is set back in the late 1800s, so I can see how a lot of people wouldn't be interested...but still. There are many plot twists in this book. But here is a summary (AND MANY SPOILERS): Alice and Lia are rich twins. Their mother died when they were children, and their father died more recently. After his death, Lia notices a strange mark on her wrist. Lia then discovers a book about a prophecy: A Gate, Lost Souls, a Guardian, Samial, Keys, and an Angel. Lia was born first, but Alice was always obviously in charge. Alice-the more popular of the two-is starting to act stranger and not like herself. Lia - the one less socially acceptable-follows Alice and one of her friends after escaping from a book shop on a school field trip. They head to a mansion, and inside they find a girl who can communicate with spirits. The girl speaks with their father, turns white, and ushers them back outside. Lia dreams that night that she is flying. Dark creatures appear and give chase. Sonia (the girl who can communicate with spirits) tells her to run. Lia joins her soul back with her body and Sonia comes to visit her. Sonia explains that it is called "traveling the planes". Sonia starts taking apart the prophecy with Lia, and they figure out Lost Souls are angels turned bad and cast from heaven. When Lia and Alice go back to school, no one looks at Lia except for a girl Luisa. Luisa is not socially accepted because she is from a different country, so Lia and Luisa start to be friends. They discover more about the prophecy with Sonia. They meet Madame, a french woman who is an expert in witchcraft. Madame shows them different books that help them continue to learn. Alice uses a knife to cut through a circle on the floor that was protecting Lia from the Lost Souls, and Samuel, the world Lost Soul, who wants to enter the earth as a shadow through Lia. The gate turns out the be Lia, the guardian turns out to be Alice (who wants to let the Lost Souls come in and destroy the world) and the Keys are Sonia and Luisa. Two other girls are the keys but I don't know yet because I haven't read the other books. This is a really good book, and more people need to read it, but I am not going to write any more because I am not sure if this has a word limit.

This is an awesome book, u will really enjoy it!!!!

The book was funny and i have read the first one. (ten rules for living with my sister.) and it was good. This one was good to but at one point the plot got really slow and the story was boring but it jumped back in to being good! Im 13 and when i was ten there was no word called bosoms. What is a bosom? Dont make up new words. I have a friend who is ten and even she does not use the words bosoms. Pearl can act like she is 5 or 6 and not 10. She has a friend named Justine who she says acts annoying and loud but she acts the same way. She reminds me of Caillou. The book is good but Pearl needs to act more like she is 10 not Caillou.

This book is beautifully written and heartbreaking. It's a wonderful story about a sweet relationship between four sisters. Their are the 14 year old twins, Eleanor and Astrid. Eleanor is firm and in charge. She can sometimes be bossy but it is nice to have someone else decide what to do. Astrid is dreamy and creative. She is sometimes super wise. Next is 12 year old Marla. She is pouty, and grumpy, and always wants attention. Lastly is 11 year old Priscilla. Silly is always feeling left out by her older sisters. Once they move to their summer home, Silly decides she will be included. Once she finds out where they're always disappearing to, she never wants to leave. These other worlds hold great fun, but also haunting secrets, and Silly wonders if she can save her sister before time runs out.

this book reminds me a little of love aubrey so if u liked that then u will like this one even better it is amazing i loved it the author wrote it so well that i really felt like i was in the story this book has a sequel and its called "yes i know the monkey man" so if u liked this book then u will like this 1 even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book was about a boy named Young-sup and his older brother, Kee-sup. They want to win the kite fight and fly for the honor of the king.

i love it

Julep hates her life. She feels like she is air...no one can see her. Being a middle child, she is surrounded by her perfect older sister and her attention-hogging younger brother. At least she has her best friends Trig and Bernadette. And she might have Danica... but probably not. You see, Danica is the most popular girl in school. Danica has talked to Julep before, but only when no one else is around. Those moments are Julep's favorites, except she wants everyone to know! She wants to shout "Everyone listen up! Danica, the most popular girl in school is talking to me!!". But she can't. And after a very PRIVATE journal entry gets read to most of the school, Julep is mortified. But, Danica feels bad for her and invites Julep to her Halloween party. Now Julep has to make a decision. Will she go to the party and abandon her little brother with asthma, or will she keep her promise? With superb storytelling, Trudi Trueit really hits it out of the ballpark with this book. It leaves you feeling upset for Julep, or mad at Cooper (her brother). I highly suggest this book!!
