The Claidi Collection: Books I-III - Wolf Tower; Wolf Star; Wolf Queen

By Tanith Lee

I love these books! It is about a girl named claidi ( don't want to spoil, but her real name is Cladissa. Another spoiler: she hates her real name!) she falls in love with a young man but finds out he is already married! 😠. Not fun. But then she falls in love with another guy and plan marriage, but gets kidnapped! No more spoilers. READ THE BOOKS!! But I love the claidi journals because it is very adventurous and fun!😄📕

Horten's Incredible Illusions: Magic, Mystery & Another Very Strange Adventure (Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms)

Horten's Incredible Illusions: Magic, Mystery & Another Very Strange Adventure (Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms)

By Lissa Evans

After Stuart Horten’s adventure to find his uncle’s workshop, he didn’t think there would be another crazy journey. That is, until he and April found a mysterious six-pointed star that transported Stuart into the desert with a camel. But now Stuart and April are starting to figure things out; like what happens after they’ve completed all of the adventures. They will uncover Uncle Tony’s will. And now that they have gotten rid of Jeannie, Clifford is still trying to put his act together (HAHAHA!) and pursue his lifelong dream of being a magician, but his tricks aren’t the best. Then comes the mysterious phone call to Stuart, offering lots of money for Tony’s magic tricks for an unknown reason. But then, Stuart’s adventures take a turn for the worse when the triplets get trapped in one of the magic tricks, and it is up to Stuart to help them. In a lovely sequel, Lissa Evans doesn’t let readers down and ends the Horten story off with a tale as magical as the first. My thoughts: I really loved this book. It definitely lived up to my expectations of a wonderful sequel after reading the first book. Stuart’s adventures are just so fun to read about, and they keep you guessing. Lissa Evans did an incredible job capturing the moments and making his story seem like it could happen in real life, with the magic. T his is the end of the series, but I am really hoping to read more stories like this one, especially by Lissa Evans. This book is a must-read for fans of magic and a mysterious adventure. Overall: 9 out of 10 Stars

Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms: Magic, Mystery, & a Very Strange Adventure

Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms: Magic, Mystery, & a Very Strange Adventure

By Lissa Evans

Stuart Horten has just moved to the town of Beeton. Beeton is the town where his great-uncle, “Teeny-Tiny” Tony Horten lived and had his workshop for Horten’s Miraculous Mechanisms. Adjusting to life, Stuart stumbles across a trail of clues left by his great-uncle that leads him to his workshop. In a mysterious tale of Stuart’s adventures searching for clues, Lissa Evans cooks up a promising debut. My thoughts: Horten’s Miraculous Mechanisms was a very wonderful book. I love mysteries, and books that have characters following clues to find something they desire. Stuart is a really small ten year old who is trying to find something that is related to his family. He is very ambitious looking for the workshop; there are adults who are spying on him, he is getting into trouble but he still does his best to follow through. The dad is a crack-up with his stupendous use of really long and confusing words, as are the next-door twins, April, May and June, with their newspaper. I can not wait to read the sequel (which is waiting on the hold shelf for me to pick up at my local library!!!! and I think that Lissa Evans did a great job with her debut.

hi

I used this book for a preschool theme of weather. It works very well for preschoolers beginning to read. The pictures and words are simple and connect easily to each other. I highly recommend to use for any child learning to read.

Ender's Game Graphic Novel

Ender's Game Graphic Novel

By Chris Yost, Orson Scott Card

This story is about a boy called Ender, and he might becomes humanity's only hope. He needs to go through various tasks for him to become a commander. My favourite character is Ender, because when no one likes him, he will just do his best, and makes everyone like him. I love this book, and my favourite part in this book is when Ender successfully become the hero. I would recommend this book to other people, especially someone likes to read mystery, action, and love story.
