I think this book is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this book who like problem solving books and like a twist turning adventure. Mali's mom is a worker at an ice cream parlor and really needs her daughter's help. Mali loves dance, but the tuition was doubled since the new teacher has arrived from Italy. This book is great because it is a twist turning adventure, has a great problem and solution, and is very entertaining. 5 stars!

Diana and Georgie have lost everything: their home, their parents, their possessions....the only thing they have left is the woods. They can roam the woods if they follow two rules that just appeared in their consciousness one day: NEVER go past the gate and NEVER show yourself to anyone. So besides those rules Diana and Georgie have free range! And boy, do they know how to use it! For the past seventy years they pranked teens (without being seen, of course) and drove the caretakers of the Old Willis Place crazy by messing with the TV during odd hours. But when a new caretaker comes that is unlike the others, Diana questions the rules for once. Even though they are only for her protection, the rules seem so strict! The new caretaker has a daughter, Lissa - and Diana has been lonely for SUCH a long time! But when Diana gets to close to Lissa, she starts to realize just how much she has lost and the danger she might be in. This is a 5/5 book, another of Mary Downing Hahn's wondrous pieces of literature. This goes on my top 3 horror books list! A must-read! --BKS

This is a really good book that follows the first book well. The only thing I wish is that there would be another book in this series. This is a great book.

I made a connection when I signed up from when I signed up for basketball. First Ben switches from football to basketball. Next he starts to play and realizes he getting good. Last he wins a trophy and the championship. I would give this book a five star because it reminds me of a personal experience.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved how the mood and tone were very nice and smooth, the opposite of intense - whatever that is. Anyways, I found this book a really interesting novel to read, and can't wait to read the next one! I enjoyed all the characters and misadventures and misunderstandings. I really do recommend this book because I found it really exciting and great! I would like to thank James Ponti and everybody else who contributed to this book. My day would not have been made without it. Last but not least, I just want to say that, while I have read tons and tons of books, not many were as enjoyable and fun to read as Dead City.

This book is for lower lexiles but it sounds like a good book.Caroline Keene was a good author, I read all of the Nancy Drew and Hardy boys books

I made a connection of how Martha Boyle is twelve years old and I'm about to turn twelve. A summary of this book a stranger knocks on twelve-year-old Martha Boyle's door and hands her a piece of paper. She identifies herself as Olive Barstow's mother, then she thanks Martha and leaves. Martha is startled because Olive was a girl in her grade last year who had recently died after being hit by a car. I give this book a three star star rating because the characters are a great part of this book, but at some points it would get sad.

Samuel is 12 years old and dose everything him self.Ever since his mom died all his dad dose is sit on the living room couch and drink.His dads boat sunk and he wants to lift it.He has to ask the guy who built it how to.Once his rises it he has to make sure that everything is okay.Unfortunately a lot of the things were damaged.The floor boards,and the engine.He fixed the floor boards for nothing at all.But the engine is a pretty penny.He tried catching lobster with the traps to raise the money.It worked but after a while,he realized his bully started to cut his traps.After that he started to give up on them.He started out one morning to catch tuna he waited for ever but then...he saw one he grabbed the harpoon an started to throw it .It did not work.But then he finally hit one.The harpoon did not have the barb.but then the line started to move.He had a fish.

Ked is a boy with a progressive back issue. Ked's mom left him and his dad a couple years ago. Ked's dad gambled all of their rent money away. On top of all of this, Ked has to deal with bullies as he loses every one of his friends. Ked does EVERYTHING to keep him and his dad afloat. He earns money in every way he can. His dad keeps gambling even as a deadline is placed on the rent that hasn't been paid in a few months. I connect with this book when I see people suffering inside and out. This book was so amazing that I never wanted to put it down. I rated this book five stars because of how stunning the emotions it made you feel were.
