In this book written by Ann M. Martin, Jessi is going to New York to see her friend (or maybe more than a friend!) Quint perform in a professional ballet. But when thy accidentally overhear a conversation of a pair planning a jewel heist, they may be in a little over they're heads. But the jewel thieves have heard their names and know where they live, so Jessi and Quint must prove to the police what is going on before they get into serious trouble. But there's another thing taking the back of Jessi's mind. She doesn't know how to confront Quinn about thier relationship. Not to mention that Becca, Jessi's little sister is having trouble back at home after being left behind for the weekend. Will Jessi be able to sort through and figure out all her problems? Read the book if you want to find out. Overall, this book was pretty good, but the ending was a little rushed and there were a lot of plot twists. Hope you like this book and this review ! I was really disappointed with this book... It didn't really make sense and I found myself not being able to grasp the plot line. The illustrations were ok, but they didn't blow me away. Over all, I would give this book a 1 star just because I did not enjoy reading it...!

I would definitely recommend this book to lovers of dance, inspiration and strong girls!

Nightbird by Alice Hoffman is about a girl named Twig Fowler who's family is cursed. Along time ago, a witch cast a spell, saying that all the men and boys in the Fowler family would have wings. And so, for years, the family has been living away from the public eye, afraid of what might happen if someone knew their secret. When Twig meets a girl named Julia, who's great ancestor was the witch that cursed the Fowler family, the girls become strong friends. Then, Julia accidentally learns Twig's secret and the two girls start working together to reverse the curse that has haunted the Fowler family for generations...! This is a great book full of adventure, friendship and magic!

When Callum stubbles across Iona Mcnair by the creek one day, he wonders why she is on his land. But when she shares her secret with him that two magestic, endagered ospreys have built a nest in a tree nearby, the two try despretly to keep these sacred birds safe from poachers and the grasping eyes of the public. Callum and Iona become very good friends as they watch the one of the osprey 's journey to Africa through a tracker that they put in. This is a beautiful story, incredibly written and shines determination, kindness and always continuing to go onward.

The Boy and the Whale by Mordicai Gerstein is a beautifully written and illustrated book about a boy who rescues a whale from a prison of nets and garbage. It is amazing!

This is one of my favorite books ever. It is a wonderful story about sisterly love, facing your fears, and never giving up. Addie was always the shy one. Scared of spiders and strangers, griffins and ghosts. But it turns out that she is braver then she thinks. Meryl however, is daring and bold, funny and outgoing. She wants to go out into the world on adventures. But when Meryl becomes deathly ill with the 'grey death', Addie will do anything to save her. Gail Carson Levine's outstanding tale will captivate readers young and old.

Afternoon kindergarten is having a field day and Junie b jones is team captain! Only here's the problem. Room eight keeps on winning too many events. And so how will Room nine ever become the kindergarten champions? As captain field day, will Junie b. Jones find a way to lead her team to victory? Or will it be up to Someone else to save the day?

This book is a great introduction to the world of Audrey Hepburn. I love and adore Audrey and am a fan through and through. This is also a great book because it isn’t very long so you could also read it to a younger sibling but it still covers her whole life which is good. I recommend this book for any age as it is simple but great. Oh and one of the best parts about it Is the illustrations because they are gorgeous just like she was!
