Detective Camp (A to Z Mysteries Super Editions)
By Ron Roy
It's the best mystery book I've ever read!Because there are hidden letters in each pictures. And when I detected them, there was a hidden message!!It was,"Beware of the monster this July!"In the camp, three kids named Dink,Josh and Ruth Rose detected that a women named Mademoiselle Musée(By the way,her real name is Maude Murn.) was a robber, because of her strange moves!
Pillage
By Obert Skye
Pillage was alright. What I felt after reading this was that it was a poorly-stitched-together story. First of all, the emotions were not expressed at ALL. Beck says the word "Grow," the ivy grows, and almost no reaction there. Basically: Oh, yeah, I can make plants bow to me at my command, no big deal. So the emotions weren't very realistic. The author did have a more realistic view of Beck's view on Kate, but very unromantic part when he kisses her. If you're actually going to have romance in a book, make it worth it! Worth noting, I didn't feel any sort of attachment to Beck, Kate, Milo, or any of the characters in the book. Third, this book is a bit of a whirlwind, jumping from one event to the next. Fourth, at the end of the book, not much of an epic conflict at all. And since when does the law give in so easily?! I mean, the video of the dragons could have been Photoshopped, for all they know, to cover up an incident where muggers lope into Kingsport and trash the place. On the pro's side: Clean language and easy-reading. 9-11 year olds is all I can recommend this to.
The Name of the Star (The Shades of London)
By Maureen Johnson
Honestly, this book was great, but it violent and slightly disturbing. It got weird at the part where the person fixed the video feed and replayed the history. It showed the victim getting chased by an invisible person and being slashed to death by a ghost. Alright, now to the plot: Rory arrived at a boarding school in England the same day that the Jack the Ripper reenactments started. Rory almost chokes to death and then she can see ghosts. The new serial killer turns out to be a ghost. She sees him one night before he murders someone and then she becomes his next target. A ghost kills him with a weapon that destroys them both right before he kills her. The end :/

Nate the Great
By Marjorie Weinman Sharmat
Book Review by Tobot the Robot - If you like mysteries, this is the book for you. My book is called Nate the Great. The author is Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. This book is part of a series. This book is fiction. Nate the Great is a detective. Someone is missing a picture. Read to find out what happens I give this book four stars because the picture was hard to find and I like that. I wish there were more mysteries. I wish there was more action. This book is at my perfect reading level. I liked the pictures and the ending. I recommend this book for kids 7 to 9. .
