The Treasure Seekers (Thea Stilton and the Treasure Seekers #1)

The Treasure Seekers (Thea Stilton and the Treasure Seekers #1)

By Thea Stilton

I don't really read Thea Stilton books anymore, but this one definitely caught me off guard. First off, this is a new book, which I love. Plus, the plot is very intriguing: while in Scotland, the Thea Sisters come across a mystery from almost a century ago, that takes them to all sorts of places. There's some mystery, plus tons of fun. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, but also a few laughs.

Chomp

"Chomp" by Carl Hiaasen is a very entertaining story about a boy named Wahoo Cray. He and his father are animal wranglers, and they tame wild animals, such as alligators, in their backyard. A popular reality TV show called 'Expedition Survival!' invites Wahoo and his father to help on set because they using their animals. Wahoo embarks on a journey that involves his friend Tuna, her father (a drunkard and a gunman), and the famous Derek Badger, who is the star of the show. Wahoo and the 'crew' face dilemmas during filming; for example, Derek Badger goes missing, and Tuna's father is after his daughter who runs away from him. Read this book to find out how these problems are solved!

I, Houdini

I, Houdini

By Lynne Reid Banks

What would you think of a hamster named Houdini? Named after the greatest escape artist of all time, he cannot be contained in any cage. Following his many adventures, Houdini proves that he can live up to his name. I would recommend this for ages 9+ I think I was a bit rather late to read this because it seemed too simple. It was pretty good, though it could have a better pace. But overall, I enjoyed this book,

The Giver (illustrated; gift edition) (Giver Quartet)

By Lois Lowry

this book was absolutley and truly and fantastically just amazing. it really captures the light of Jonas' life as a kid in the future and the Giver-to-be. it honestly saddens me that he and his friends never got to experience color or feelings or even their own memory.:0

Regarding the Fountain: A Tale, in Letters, of Liars and Leaks

Regarding the Fountain: A Tale, in Letters, of Liars and Leaks

By Kate Klise

BVP

Regarding the Fountain, by Kate Klise, is a funny book. He problem is when the water fountain does not work then they need a new drinking fountain, but they don't have any water left. Then they need to get a water fountain but they need to find out where all of the water went. The characters are different from other books because this book has many funny characters, and usually books only have one or two. For example, one of the characters goes all over the world for stuff for the fountain and gets a lot of crazy things like one flower all the way from Africa. The characters have funny names like Dee Eel, Sam N. and Wally Russ. Another reason the book is so different and unique is because it is written in letters instead of narration and dialogue. Most of the kids liked it in my books club. If you like funny books, you will like this book.

Belle Prater's Boy

Belle Prater's Boy

By Ruth White

So i read this book as sort of as an assignment and it was ok i guess. It could have been more exciting and i don't really like "classical literature." Overall, not bad, but i wouldn't read it for pleasure.
