Kids Books - Manga
Negima! Magister Negi Magi, Vol. 1
By Ken Akamatsu
Got from the public library. This series is about a ten year old English wizard who comes to teach middle school girls in Japan. It's pretty funny and by the same guy who did Love Hina. I think the shrinkwrapping and the "for mature audiences" stickers weren't necessary, as this series is pretty tame and has less fan service/suggestive panels then Love Hina, which is not shrinkwrapped.
Vermonia #1: Quest for the Silver Tiger
By YoYo
It is a book about four kids that have powers from their guardians that they don't know of until they reach the Turtle Realm. And one of them is captured, it is up to them to save her. But they must find her first, on their journey they find one guardian the silver tiger.
Tegami Bachi, Letter Bee, Vol. 1: Letter and Letter Bee
By Hiroyuki Asada
I have read up to the 3rd book of this series and WANT to read more! I absolutly love the idea of delivering peoples letters, which are written from the heart! I love how the main character cries for other people's sake and not his own! I love his dingo's Niche and Steak! This story about Lag seeing and his adventure as a letter bee is truly fantastic! I have a LONG list of manga to read, but I WILL fit this in!
Reborn! Vol. 3, Shonen Jump Advanced Manga Edition
By Akira Amano
i totally agree, it's extremely good! TO THE EXTREME! watch and read it!
Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne: Volume 1
By Arina Tanemura
Got from my school library; bland, pink, and uninspired. The fighting scenes lack any real heart, and the description makes it sound way cooler then it actually is. Still, some of the art is nice, and I bet if you're a fan of Full Moon and other Arina Tanemura series you'll enjoy this; I've never actually read any of her other series, so...
D.N.Angel, Vol. 1 (Spanish Edition)
By Yukiru Sugisaki
The anime is as awesome as Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica!! In fact, this was the first one out of all that I gave the highest rating to
Bakuman., Vol. 1
By Tsugumi Ohba
Great series by the creator of Death Note. Glad Viz decided to release it in America despite it having less action then the average Shonen Jump title.
Ultra Maniac, Volume 1
By Wataru Yoshizumi
Read from my school library. It's decent but there's a forced twist at the end that makes me go "seriously?" Also despite Shojo Beat's claim that "the real drama begins here", this is a little comedy manga with no substance.
